@@andrewfantome4020 Well I did say 15, and you'll be surprised at how some people straight up refuse to look at old anime. Take Clannad for example one of the best anime ever made are exactly 15 years ago from today and it's quite hard to convince people to watch it. Heck I've seen people who likes Bocchi never saw K-on before, 10-15 years is a long time for anime.

@@ccdewa4251 Well, for my part, I can say that while Bocchi is clearly a pretty good show, many young viewers are overly excited about it precisely because it's one of the first shows they've seen. I know people who think this is the first anime to make a fun with a variety of visual gags. This is reminiscent of the situation with Arcane or Licorice, when some people in the comments wrote that they had never seen a moral gray show or a show with cute girls with guns before. This is not something bad in itself, but it shows how impressionable people are once they start to get acquainted with the media.

I think as long as they don't spoil the next few episodes (obviously duh) and don't reference other franchise or brand cause Japan tends to be strick around those part, then they're good to go.

But I also often notice that unlike Western VAs, Japanese VAs rarely discuss fan feedback unless it's part of a joke (such as the gay humor of Ayaneru and TsumuTsumu) or is directly intended by the showrunners as a stream where Bandori's girls were discussing Morphonica's characters during the addition of the unit to game.
