AS VAL is absolutely awesome in this game. You have 120 meters of range on pretty cheap bullets, you can make it shoot really fast or slow depending on what you want, kt doesn't jump like a kangaroo on crack in semi auto mode which makes it great at distance and even though it's more expensive than other budget AR's, it's still not that bad (ammo takes up for that pretty nicely).

If you like the VSS, go for Mini-14 with 855/855AI ammo. You would absolutely SHRED people with it.

The Q or AAC Honey Badger should be comparable to the VSS in performance. The VSS barrel length is only 8 inches. The Honey Badger's is 6 inches, but it looks like it might have the more accurate gas impingement system of an AR going for it.

The slow bullet speed combined with the low recoil means you can get 3 or 4 shots in the air before the first one hits, and then they all land before the target has time to react and move

I'm so glad the vss/as Val has gotten to be a popular gun for fps games. It was an absolutely divine weapon in battlefield 3. I loved dominating with it and then seeing people switch to it. I literally got invited to a competitive gaming group because i destroyed them in a public lobby with an as val. They didn't have any idea how good the gun was, few people did. I ended up being the person with the 12th highest kill count with the as val in that game, across all platforms. Those were the days. I miss bf3

Bullet drop (or lack of) isn't realistic. VSS is small caliber so you would have needed to aim high with those 8x shots

I found keeping it on semi-auto worked best for me. You can shoot it just as fast as normal auto but with less recoil. I definitely need to try some other guns out though.
