Acura is going to show off a completely new design for their famous luxury compact SUV, the 2025 RDX Hybrid. The exterior of this next-generation model is said to turn heads, the hybrid powertrain is said to be more efficient, and there are a lot of technology improvements.
The 2025 RDX Hybrid has a bold new look that puts an emphasis on both style and speed. New JewelEye LED headlights with a sharper, sleeker profile are placed on either side of the classic Acura grille, which now has a more noticeable mesh design. Character lines going along the sides give the picture a sense of movement and energy. A curved front bumper and a rear diffuser are some of the aerodynamic improvements that make the car better. They improve airflow and lower drag. Not only does the slightly sloping ceiling look good, but it also makes the cabin feel open and airy. Chrome accents on the door handles and window lines make the car look more elegant, and the redesigned side mirrors now have LED turn signs built in to make them easier to see.
Smart hybrid engine is what makes the 2025 RDX Hybrid tick. Acura hasn't said much about the details, but reports say it will have a powerful gasoline engine with turbochargers and a next-generation electric motor. It is expected that this configuration will provide thrilling acceleration and the best fuel economy in its class, with estimates hitting up to 40 mpg in combined driving conditions. The 2025 RDX Hybrid may also have different drive modes that let drivers choose between getting better gas mileage, sporty performance, or a mix of the two. Acura is also likely to add a better regenerative braking system that stores energy when the car slows down and adds it back to the battery to make the electric driving range longer.
Although the company hasn't said for sure, experts think that the base model of the 2025 RDX Hybrid will cost around $46,000. This is a small price rise from the previous model, which is due to the more advanced engine and technology. The new Acura RDX Hybrid is likely to be an expensive compact SUV competitor, going up against cars like the Lexus NX Hybrid and the Volvo XC60 Recharge. Acura is likely to share more information about the 2025 RDX Hybrid later this year, including when it will be shown off and when it will be shipped.
