Acura TL at NOLA Motorsports Park - Chin Motorsports Event (Feb 2014)

Some footage from the second day of a Chin Motorsports track weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana. Car is a 2005 6mt Acura TL. Had issues overheating brakes (pads suspected) due to less than optimal (front) brake size and cooling on a full weight (and front heavy) car for extended runs.
Brake ducts will be installed before any future events at a minimum. I also might install new front rotors with a better vein design. The issue really is not brake fluid but I might switch to RBF660 for next event anyway.
Modifications/equipment at the time of this event:
235/45/17 Pilot Super Sports (OEM recommended pressures 35F, 32R with no tire rollover issues and too much center tread wear)
HT-10 brake pads
RBF600 brake fluid
SS brake and clutch lines
Comptech short shift kit
TEIN Street Flex coilivers (7 clicks from full stiff front and rear)
H&R front and rear anti-roll/torsion bars (both on firm setting)
Skunk2 front camber adjustable upper control arms (~ -1.5)
PCI front lower control arm bearings (HeelToe Automotive)
SPC rear upper camber arms/rods (~ -2.0)
XLR8 62A motor mounts
XLR8 torque damper
XLR8 J-Pipe

I run a 2003 Acura TL-S with Tein Street Advanced coil overs (full firm on rear, 2 clicks off firm on front), Eibach anti sway bars (stiffer in back), negative 2 degrees camber front and rear, corner balanced, 235/40/18 Dunlop Direzza ZIIs. Last time I tried 32 psi cold front and 34 psi cold rear and everything really worked well. The stiffer rear damper setting, higher rear tire pressure, and stiffer rear anti sway bar all work to loosen the rear a little and reduce understeer tremendously. I have only done 6 DEs so I am not an expert. I have not seen any other Acuras at my DEs at Barber. Nice to see another one running. I will watch all of your video as soon as I can.

I remember seeing you there... it was a blast! How did the SL perform?

SL is ok, it is not my car, so, i didn't really mess with the traction controls or any of the settings much. I also had some issues with the brakes and the computer sensors going into safety mode. Beautiful track, lots of run off, a little bumpy at the end of the front straight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you should be running more negative camber in the front than the rear on a FWD car. With your current setting, you're highly prone to understeer. Also, you may want to stiffen the rear coilovers to max and soften the front a bit more. Just my 2 cents.

The short answer is no, my setup is not ideal for the track. My camber is currently maxed out in the front with the Skunk2 control arms. I would have gone with -2 all around if it was possible. I say -2 because that is as aggressive as I want to have for a street car. Under/oversteer will be adjusted with torsion bars. The good news is that with street tires, camber setup is not nearly as important as it is with competition tires. Why do you suggest those specific damper settings? Thanks for the comments!
