It is also the exhaust shield on top of the j-pipe. If you bend it the noise goes away

Coke Zero either pull it off or unscrew the bolts holding the shield on

+Coke Zero spray the 10mm bolts with wd40 let it sit and then unscrew the remaining bolts thst are holding on the shield

If this happens to your cats, just get 2 large metal worm drive clamps (like the ones you'd use for your clothes dryer vent) and tighten them around the heat shield.

this is the best idea - or simply use an old cloth hanger tied together with a pair of pliers 👍

I just found out that my catalytic converter has a rattle inside so I have to replace it soon but still thanks for the video.

Yes I did shield got loose so I just pulled it

fabolousg4ever Do you remember if you already had the cracked dashboard when you took off the manifold heat shield or the crack came after you took it off? My dashboard is not crack and im afraid removing the shield accelerates the process.

Nah it didn't make it happen faster had nothing to do with it just the hott and cold in NYC that caused my dash to crack over time.

fabolousg4ever most likely the one at the back of the engine. The one in the front looks pretty simple enough to do.

Just got a 2016 mdx and hearing a rattle on acceleration 1-2000rpm. Sounds almost like a bad cv axle but it’s not.

check your transmission mounts, they help the engine vibrate at pick-up

@@rayd408 could be transfer case troubles on AWD (proper tire pressures help promote similar wheel rotation speeds) ✌️
