Acura, is one of the few car brands, where I like all models, all years of production. Especially with SH-AWD .

I’m looking to get a 4G. I read that some of the SHAWD models have oil consumption issues. What’s your experience with that ?

I had the oil consumption rebuild for that, they sent out a letter fixing that issue if ppl had it. Unfortunately, it expired so now I don't know how that works. I do oil changes often anyways so I only add like half quart in between oil changes. Before it'd take 1-2

I have that issue as well mine is nearing 200k miles, honestly its not bad you get use to it. Car still runs fine at least mine. But i probably need to had a quart every 1000 miles depending how hard i drive. But you can always fix it if you’re willing to spend the extra money

I'm confused on which to get. I prefer the looks of the 09-11 but love the drive system of the 12. I need a suggestion pls

It's the same drivetrain, just the 6AT is 12-14 and 09-11 is 5AT

@austinse1476 yah I mean lots of ppl have had no issues, I know the 5AT in the 05-06 TL had issues though. The 6AT is still better and more reliable imo.

I've had about 17 cars, and driven about 10 others. This is by far my favorite, and I love my interior. Not sure where I've mentioned my age, but if you're older then 34, then yes you are haha.

I want to see this go up against some STI'. My buddy at work had a beautiful dark purple Cobb Stage 2 STI Hatch and it was one of the most fun all around cars. Was super clean too and luckily never ran into any head gasket issues. He got rid of it & started driving an MK7.5 GTI and although the GTI is much more refined and solidly built, he misses that 6 Speed AWD.

I gapped my buddies stock 2018 WRX stock for stock. I'm modded so a stock STI would be an easy W for the TL. I have a video running a 300whp 1st gen STI, and I pulled it pretty easy.

If I was to get a rv6 j pipe and takeda intake wat ktuner would I run and would I have to get it professionally tuned for the long run?

Ktuner v1.2 or v2 is the way...Definitely would need a tune for Takeda intake to run efficiently.

@TbpTona I have a ktuner installation video and I show the basemaps. If you run an intake with a basemap it'll run slower then stock airbox, the basemaps were tuned with stock airbox. I removed my intake after I got ktuner, cause it made it slower. You'd need a real tune for intake. Jpipe is Tune 1 or 2 I forget
