my 17 old year son watched the video and was able to complete the job with relative ease. Some of the back coil plugs were tough to unplug. But the most important part was using the correct allen wrench. He tried using a 9/16" and could have stripped the head - we went back to the video and saw you grab the 6mm (which he had to go buy). Thank you!

Remove the shock tower sway bar as recommended in this video. I removed the bar and completed the job in 2 hrs. The 1st time I replaced the plugs, I did not remove the bar and I fought it for 4.5 hrs and I loss some blood in the process. Do yourself a favor - remove the bar.

Friend wants to change spark plugs. She realized how much the ignition coils are and I believe they are sold individually on her TL. Can she just get the plugs replaced and leave the stock coils on? The car runs good just that she was told she needs plugs being her car is over 100k miles
@yomomma42705 жыл бұрын
If the coils are still working properly, don't touch them. You only replace them when they go bad. Just change the spark plugs.
@CarsNToys5 жыл бұрын
Agreed.
@coache1nine4 жыл бұрын
Unless the coils are visibly damaged or you have a cylinder misfire, no need to replace the coils.
