Great video Bogdan. Thank you, this was a very easy job and does not need require the MDX to be lifted. I did this while our MDX was parked inside our garage. I will say for anyone who at least has a trailer hitch installed in their MDX you will need to remove your spare tire in order to reach the top fill bolt, otherwise. I did this in probably 30 minutes or less. Thank you so very much!
@AcuraAddicted

Thanks! I actually have both the trailer hitch and the spare tire in place in this video, and I didn't have to remove anything (you can actually see it in the video). Yes, there is not much space between the tire and the hole in the subframe, through which you can put the extension, through, but it worked for me with a short extension.

Hey, I have a question that has nothing to do with what's in the video, but it is about Acura vehicle. Have you seen on your car, where tire pressure indicators would shows some of the pressure of tires? On my RL, I see that right rear just shows dashes instead of numbers but other wheels are good. Then after some time, when it is warmer, the 32 PSI may appear. Battery of the sensor is low?
@AcuraAddicted
@AcuraAddicted 4 жыл бұрын
Hello. Yes, dashes instead of pressure for TPMS monitor means faulty sensor reading (or no reading), which is most frequently related to low battery in said sensor. You usually start to see it failing in cold temperatures, just like any other battery. If it turns back on when it's warmer, that's definitely the battery. Time to swap that sensor for the next 10 years of happy life!
@Charkatak
@Charkatak 4 жыл бұрын
@@AcuraAddicted Today I drove couple of hours ago and saw dashes instead of numbers. By the time I was coming back home, sun came out, so it got a bit warmer and pressure reading came back. I can of course by the sensor for that wheel and it might be good as I would have to find a leak in this tire anyway and have tire shop install the sensor too. Do you know when tire shop installs new tires on Acura vehicle, do they re-use sensors? I basically want to find out if other sensors are still original or not as the tires were replaced couple of years ago and still have tread life.

i thougth A1 code was for a oil change like the engine oil
@AcuraAddicted
@AcuraAddicted 2 жыл бұрын
That is correct. However the reset procedure is the same for all codes, so I simply used old oil change footage to avoid spending additional time for filming this specific code.

@@AcuraAddicted If you reset this code but don't do Engine oil change at same time, won't the computer assume you DID replace engine oil and reset that time frame /percent as well making you late on your next oil change? (the 100% showing only means engine oil and not rear diff oil correct?)

I brought three quarts to my mechanic, and he said it took about 3 and a half. I was so confused but the car drives fine ...
@AcuraAddicted
@AcuraAddicted Жыл бұрын
First of all, you won't be able to put in more fluid that will exceed the fill hole level, since it's going to leak out. And the volume of the rear diff is less than 3L (2.5L to be exact, you can find this information in your owner's manual). Secondly, if you only brought three quarts, how did your mechanic add 3.5? In any case, I'm glad the car drives fine. Good luck!
@tooththrhr
@tooththrhr Жыл бұрын
@@AcuraAddicted I don't know how he added 3.5. Unless I miss heard him and he meant an extra .5 for the transfer case. He said he had some laying around at his shop. I only gave him 3qts

How often do you change the oil?
@AcuraAddicted
@AcuraAddicted 4 жыл бұрын
Strictly according to the maintenance minder, how it was designed by the manufacturer. The maintenance minder does not count mileage, it counts engine working hours.

@@AcuraAddicted my 2019 Mdx aspect at 44,000 miles when should I change differential fluid?
@AcuraAddicted
@AcuraAddicted 4 жыл бұрын
According to your maintenance minder when you see digit 6 come up on it (usually comes with B1 as well, so you’ll likely have B16). Refer to page 581 of your vehicle’s owner’s manual for information on what letters and figures mean.

Open your owner’s manual on page 581, all of the code descriptions are there. Codes appear on your dashboard when they are due soon.

Helpful videos….what isn’t helpful is your use of the MAGA acronym equivalent….for Acura. The individual that uses the acronym, if you’re honest and factual, knows that EVERYTHING that individual has touched IN HIS LIFE he’s broken. If that’s the association you want, have at it….uf not please reconsider

Thank you! My channel has no political affiliations, does not promote any specific political party or agenda, and is not involved in any propaganda. Any resemblance of my series "Make Acura Great Again" to other words, phrases and acronyms is purely coincidental and does not in any way mean anything else other than what it says. Moreover, I am not (and have never been) an American citizen or resident, and so the US politics simply is of no interest or concern of mine. I am sorry that you see something that just isn't there, but it's your personal choice and freedom of expression which I respect. I encourage you to exercise the freedom of choice you have and only consume content you are morally comfortable with, if that's something you would like to pursue. I hope you understand that this is in no way going to affect my freedom of creativity and is not going to influence using this series name (which I've used for close to eight years now) going forward. Coincidentally, the purpose of my entire channel is to fix what's broken and to maintain what's working in order to prolong its life and therefore contribute to long-term sustainability of the things we use on a constant basis, so thousands of other people can use this information to do the same. Thus, hopefully, you'll find some reconciliation in that as well. I wish you all the best!
