Acute disease and Chronic disease: Know the difference in detail I Science in Hindi

The disease is something that gives discomfort to our body and interferes with its normal functioning.
Acute disease:
Symptoms: Develops quickly
Can be treated with medicines
Lasts for a shorter duration less than 6 months
Examples: Flu, common cold, asthma attack, heart attack, hepatitis C
Chronic disease
Cannot be treated but can be managed with medicines and care
Develops slowly and worsen with time
Example: Cancer, Diabetes, High blood pressure, arthritis
The demarcation between acute and chronic disease are not fixed.
An acute disease like hepatitis C if not treated completely can become chronic with severe complications.
Similarly, chronic diseases like diabetes can give rise to acute diseases like dizziness, shortness of breath if medicines are not taken regularly.
