Hi all, My father died from AML in May 2022 and since then I am highly curious and interested in this disease. Whenever I remember my father I feel hopeless and try to know more and more about this disease. This is a highly fatal disease only because it is unable to detect early. Lots of love to the person reading.

No mention of Azacitidine + Venetoclax? That is another regimen we can use for AML, typically for less fit patients who can’t tolerate 7+3. But actually a lot of patients fit in this category so I see a lot of Aza/Ven.

My wife was suffering from DLBCL called Lymphoma. Six cycle of targeted RCbop Chemo was injected through IV . In March 24 . she was declrared fuuly recovered . But after one month in late april again she had frequent fever and headache. Bone marrow synthesis was done and dcoters declead she has acquired AML with 96% bladt . Since she was 67 yrs so they ruled out stem cell transplant and IV chemo . We all were helpless and tried oral chemo suggested by doctor so that it will postpone the death for quite sometime . But we could not save her and finally she died in june. Doctor where things have gone wrong. Why allof sudden she acquired AML Still we are pondering and not getting answer.

About the symptoms related to low rbc and platelet counts: as there are plenty of blood making bones in human body, i would guess a bone being AML should not being a big deal and the symptoms will not deteriorate rapidly. Why this line of thought is incorrect? May be AML bone metastases quickly to other bones somehow?
