What if the onset of the illness occurred within 12-13 days, but there was worsening of symptoms for the past 2 days, and the patient had severe hypoxia (92mmHg for PF ratio) and had to be tubed. Does it still count?

po2 on ABG should be 5times Fio2..That's the normal value

Try to treat the underlying cause. ARDS is usually a result from an underlying infection, trauma or other underlying disease. The most common of which is sepsis.
