l would recommend you only doing this ACV rinse 2 times a year. Once before the cold weather & again at spring time. That way you'll cleanse all the products used on the hair during the cold months & then cleanse again from product & sweat build up from the spring & summer months.

maybe don't use conditioner... think about it: it helps detangling loose hair, it doesn't rinse completely from locked hair, it really doesn't moisturize the hair. you can use natural humectants like rose water, aloe water, and light oils to seal in moisture
@anoelcollection7215
@anoelcollection7215 7 жыл бұрын
+ccloves birdie that's a huge misconception. Locks need conditioners. It's just that you have to use spray conditioners instead of creamy ones. Creamy conditioners can be used sparingly but a lot of people don't really understand how to properly wash locks to remove residue, what to wash locks with, and what types of products to use to retwist (it should always be a spray product used minimally). Watery leave-in conditioners are ideal. It's best to go in with a clarifying but gentle shampoo then a moisturizing shampoo on wash days.
@Gilliebeany
@Gilliebeany 7 жыл бұрын
MsMeya G since coconut oil is a natural anti bacterial and seals in moisture maybe that's less build up than conditioner? I don't know a thing about hair, but I'd imagine from what I know of the oil that it could maybe help?
@elfinmordant3313
@elfinmordant3313 6 жыл бұрын
@@anoelcollection7215 Locks don t need conditioner. Locks need moisturer! All you have to do is research what conditioner is suppose to do. Regular conditooner focuses on generally leaving silicones on ur hair to mask any damage and make it rectangle easier! That's all conditooner does. Leaves silicone. Basicallically plastix on ur hair. Locs need moisture. Conditioner is very unnecessary.

Whoever's watching this, her locs are super dirty because she uses shampoo and conditioner ! All that residue from whatever she's been using has kept alllll of that muck in. Use ACV to CONDITION your dreads AFTER they have matured ! And use Baking Soda to wash your hair, that's it ! Pending on your water PH, use a bit of lemon juice to add more acid. Enjoy your journey, and don't make it a hassel.... make it natural ! :D

Vito Guerrero She deff said she doesnt use much product in her hair and also used lemon juice in the water. But thanks.

Dolo Might she said it it in the video and exactly did the same exact thing you said she don't do, and that's washing her hair with conditioner. Conditioner alone gets stuck in the dreads and cause a white build up. I'm guessing that is why Vito said what her said.🤷🏽‍♀️

acv rinse is wonderful. another level that works if you dont get all build up out is absolut vodka mixed with shampoo. work it in and leave it for 15 min and rinse out. It works! but you MUST do a hot oil treatment after! acv gets out organic buildup and vodka gets out organic and inorganic buildup o ut. your locs are beautiful!

Ok. did this last night for the first time ( 12 year old locs) and it was EVERYTHING. What makes me the happiest is that it makes your hair dry INFINITELY faster so if you like to do a braid out but don't wanna wait as long for it to dry.... this is the trick! My hair is super soft (but yes it is veerrrrry drying). If you have old locs you must try this! 💆🏾😍💯🙋🏾🦁

@tipsygipsy8259 8 жыл бұрын
Ceterija Barney Of course fresh is best. But I use the bottled and it works just fine, tropicana brand or whatever. Just make sure that it says just orange juice on the ingredients and is pulp free cuz you don't want pulp in your locs. As far as instructions go: You can either fill a pan with the juice and squeeze/soak your locs in it for twenty minutes. Or you can use a less amount by pouring it on your scalp and locs and putting on a baggy (I use a shopping bag) and letting it sit twenty minutes. It will drip so you might want to do this in the shower. After the twenty minutes are up, rinse out with hottish water ( this will remove all the oil and gunk). I use my nails to scrap my scalp because this works so good it will lift up months of dead skin and dandruff that you didn't even think could possibly still be there after regularly shampooing! Lol. So don't be surprised if you have the same thing happen to you. Rinse, squeeze and scrap well. And you're done. You can use this treatment as your shampooing day or before you shampoo. I've done both. And it's safe enough to do once a week or more. This orange juice is so good you guys it even change your tub when your done! Best tub cleanser is putting the stopper in your tub or shower. Sprinkling liberally with some Comet powder and then pour over about a cup and a half of orange juice. Mix with a sponge and leave overnight. When you wake up scrub lightly and rinse. Came up with this from how good I noticed the tub after my treatments. Got the orange juice idea from Indian medicine. I use Ayurveda in everything I do. Hope it works for you too. Let me know if you have questions.😄

I've been a pro hair dresser for decades. If the water is dirty, your hair will not get any of the minerals, Repeat process until water runs clean OR use a clarifier or baby shampoo before this treatment. You can spray your scalp w diluted acv n rinse. Virgin olive oil is good after to moisturize too. I wish I kept pics of my own lox lol pre youtube! I have pics of my son's ...Also vicks is good to stimulate your pours and many Rasta drinks TIGER MALT. So do I bc of the high biotin, your hair will love you. PEACE!

You should think about getting an inflatable hair basin. It will make it much more comfortable, not to mention save your neck and you will be able to really soak all of your hair. They are not that expensive around $25 - $35. Just google inflatable hair basin and plenty of options will come up. You place it on the floor, and just lay down to fully soak, and use lots of old towels on the floor.

Apple cider vinegar is an acid, and a form of vinegar (The chemical compound being C2H2NaO2) while bicarbonate of soda is sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3). When an acid and base is added together in an aqueous solution(the water in your sink)a salt is created. For this particular chemical reaction, the bubbles are from the carbonic acid (which was a product of mixing baking soda and vinegar together) turning into carbon dioxide and going into the air. What is left is sodium acetate, a salt and also used as a preservative sometimes in hair products. You aren’t washing your hair with apple cider vinegar and baking soda, you are washing your hair with some preservative and water, which I doubt is good for your hair. TLDR: People don’t do this, it’s WILL NOT clean you hair and is probably bad for your hair.

Wash my hair once to twice a week. 12 years, butt length now, thick, and cut 3 inches(9inches) off in 3 different years. Also bought some of her products, loved the leave in spray. 🥰 Hope she puts out another line.

Sam LSD who washes their hair while they are cooking anyways? The companies that make products to kill germs in the bathroom, also make products to kill germs in kitchen. Most black ppl washes their hair in the kitchen and uses bleach or lysol etc to clean their sink out. If you think hair nasty then you must never heard of chicken, pork and other meats.

right? Why not use the kitchen sink? Also, mix the solution in a larger bottle and pour over from scalp to ends....in plugged sink. Then the solution will work on scalp and full length of hair. The rest will accumulate in the sink for soaking as she did in the small sink. Besides...probably less back breaking! All that beautiful hair when wet must be heavy! 😊

Do this once a month. This rinse can really strip your hair of its moisture. If you do it too frequently per month, you can really dry out your hair and risk breakage.

When I use apple cider vinegar i start from my scalp and work it down my dreads after I wash my hair while im still in the shower. I never heard of adding lemon juice, baking soda, or anything but that is very interesting. I just get a plastic cup and put 1 part water and 1 part apple cider or ACV lol. Then I moisturize after with coconut oil and water, which grows my hair fast, the oil seals in the water. The only trick with my dreads is making sure i dont have too much water in my dreads so they dont rot. Or too much oil so they be greasy.

Hermit TV Junkie I wouldn't advise doing an ACV rinse on a monthly basis, because of the dryness it causes; this is a periodic treatment only. You don't want to strip your hair/scalp of their natural oils.

I have done a ACV and bicarbonate of soda wash before, I would say to be careful of the ratio or just leave out the Bicarbonate full stop. My hair was very dry afterwards and took a long time to recover. I agree with the comments that say, "no product". but yes, very beautiful hair, She must be doing something right!!!

i use the 'no poo' method [baking soda wash, acv rinse, water rinse] ...my dreads smell a bit like vinegar, but after it dries the smell goes away completely. I like to rub a bit of essential oils on them for scent anyway, but usually they dont have a smell at all btw, if you follow this method, a deep clean [like the one you use above] still gets all the daily nasties out, but its nowhere near as bad as it could be..haha
