I cannot wait for the entire 2nd Manassas campaign. For some reason it seems to be the hardest battle to research here on KZbin. Thank you for everything you do in bringing these battles back to life.

@@WarhawkYT i just watched it, wanted to before i replied I definitely enjoy his battle maps. He presents the terrain well, and he always tells good stories well like Jackson being confused for a farmer. What I think sets your videos apart is setting up the strategic situation. Not to say one is better than the other, any creator that presents CW stuff is great to me.

I've noticed and will commend the increased detail in the map, and there's been a clear progression in the quality of your editing and narration. From the beginning however this has been the most excellent and comprehensive rendition of the American Civil War. Especially being able to watch it unfold respectively!

Good job with those European names!!! One you might have erred on, however is Krzyzynowski, which might sound closer to "Sheh-sheh-NOV-ski". This one is a surprisingly good idea!!! I know a bit about Cedar Mountain and 2nd Manassas, but less on the build-up to these summer battles, with the political wrangling also going on on both sides.

The battle of the 2nd Manassas was General Lee wait for Pope to make his move. Lee moved accordingly and smashed Pope when he made his move. Lee completely out fought Pope and it could have been a lot worse

I honestly wonder why Lincoln chose Pope over Grant to bring East. Pope certainly had success at Island 10, but that’s about it. Grant had already won at Henry and Donalson and captured Nashville.
