I've never visited the Foxfield till now that is. It's wetted my appetite. A fine looking Railway. Excellent sound and vision. I could almost smell that clag. Thanks you Sir. delboy.

Thank you. The line is well worth a visit and the section I've shown is just a part of it. The passenger trains pass through some very attractive countryside

Superb shots Austin. You captured a action pack video with the engines working hard up the incline. The last shots of the 3 engines was fantastic. With all that smoke. Brilliantly filmed. Enjoyable watching. Have not been to this heritage railway yet. It looks great. C&A

Thank you, you should try and visit, it's a wonderful friendly line. Great performances from all locos but that last one was pretty special, blocking the sun out in the last shot!

Super compilation of these great locos fighting the grade Austin. A joy to watch. Chris

What a remarkable little railway. Thought about coming up today but was put off by problems on the M6 and major traffic disruption in the area. Wonderful video Austin as usual. Rare to see so much freight activity on a preserved line. Loved the crane tank! Cheers, Dave.

I know I can rely on you to capture this superb event each year Austin, and you never disappoint...You've managed to get a few different locations for this one...and it's been a joy to watch...noticed the start of a lineside fire at the end there ....Bob
@acw710009 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bob, there were quite a few fires started during the day. The trackside vegetation has grown quite a lot since my last visit making it difficult to see the loco wheels in places but it's always an enjoyable and friendly place to visit

Great video Austin. That last climb with the three engines was spectacular - and I think they set the weeds alight too! I must confess this is my sort of railway - little industrials being worked to the limit. After all, it's what railways were invented for in the first place. Must get there one day. Noel

Thanks Noel, there were quite a few fires started during the day as the locos attacked the bank. You must try and visit, you won't regret it

2017 promises to be am exciting year as it is the 50th anniversary of the preservation society taking over the line and operating its first passenger trains. We have plenty planned for the year including so do keep an eye out for news of events.

Were abouts is this part of the F.R we visited last weekend and never found this section of track,we rode from the main station to a run round loop but never saw this section.
@acw710009 жыл бұрын
It's filmed around Foxfield Colliery. This section of the line is generally only used for Special Events. I believe the intention is to run passenger trains to the colliery at some point in the future

That little red one was attacking it in no uncertain fashion at the start. Doesn't Bellerophon make a great sound. Great angle at 1:20; I was worrying about your health and safety for a moment there.
@acw710009 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments. Bellerophon is very loud and you could hear her attacking the bank long after passing the camera position. Rather scary having locos coming straight at you even though I was behind the fence!
