I've never seen ANY arcade ANYWHERE in the USA that can maintain drum games for very long. They all seem to break so often that it's frustrating for the player to try to play a broken game but I also imagine the maintenance the owner has to do is is ridiculous as well.

These prices are way too high for these machines. This was the best advertisement for me to avoid going to Ad Astra Auction. Thanks for the heads up!

Dang Mike this auction was loaded. I need to get down there if for no other reason than to hang out and look at the stuff. Great price on that Robotron. I'm holding out for a Williams Multicade if one ever comes my way.

You have loads of cool video arcade tours, but in all of them (including yours,) I have never seen my favourite game I played loads in the Arcades of my yesteryear (back in the early 80's to late 90's) is Firefox (laser disc game.) Is it because it is ultra rare, or very expensive? Loving all your videos, especially the Auctions with you and Mike Murray and the Arcade Tours. Wish I could visit your Arcade *even if you do not have Firefox 😜" But, living in the UK it is impossible. Keep on making the amazing videos.

Awesome timing with this video. I'm in the middle of bidding on a storage unit that has 5 or 6 arcade cabinets including a Maximum Force so its good to see a recent sales price. I'm planning to resell all the games. There's also an Aliens game by Konami but it's not the standard cabinet I see in google image searches for Konami Aliens arcade game. Anyone know a better way to try and find if it's an uncommon variation or a custom cabinet?

Altered beast is a $500 game near me. Crazy
@pixelpalacearcade3 ай бұрын
@AnthonyPresley-l8f yup. I paid way more than I should have. I just don't see it come up for sale very often and this one was mint. Plus I love the game and it's requested all the time at my arcade.
@AnthonyPresley-l8f3 ай бұрын
@@pixelpalacearcade at least you are happy about the purchase which is all that really matters. Just that it would be cheaper to just buy a board and put it into an empty cabinet since altered beast isn’t dedicated😅

I know Buccees is something of a tourist attraction, but do you ever have any of the employees ask you not to record them, like JD Vance in the doughnut shop? Or is having random people coming into the store with their video cameras on just part of the job for them?
@scottgm3213 ай бұрын
Did you get into the arcade business at the right time? Are more and more people trying to start arcades and driving the prices up? I’ve seen your earlier videos how you were buying games and storing them before you opened. Were prices better back then.

Cool auction. Never went to one, yet. 45:56 If you tried recording at 60 fps, you would have much better quality panning shots.

@Omega_Mark3 ай бұрын
@@ElectricStarshipArcade 60 fps will take some extra storage space, but these days it's worth it, as you can never record the same exact auction ever again ;). YT has native support for 60 fps, so this is a worthy upgrade and easy to implement.
