Nope, but it's noteworthy that, for horror films, composers use atonalism and non-standard time signatures. In an other space-time continuum, maybe composers would use Bach-like harmony and 4/4 bars, because in that world, atonal music would be the norm and tonal music the exception...

Maybe because it is in German? Because as for me, being it one of my first times listening to Ades, I really am greatful for what he said and explained guided me very well through the piece. If sitting in the audience I would be really grateful and I think he did really well. Anyway, I really enjoyed the piece! All the best!

@@notaire2 Sie sind ein erfahrener Musiphil. Aber für meiste Leute, diese Erklärungen sind notwendig. Modern Musik ist nicht Kunst für Kunst aber ist verbindet mit Realität, und Realität ist manchmal Techno (Ruhe in Frieden, Florian Schneider...)

I do not see that this music is going to further western art. It is attractive to only a few and with the cacophony of of modern life, why listen to more. As usual the lip service preludes the performance for legitimacy.
