We have been several times and we LOVE it here, but it was nice to explore some new places as a family. I'm a 31 year-old mum of three, who lives in Cheshire, in the UK. I have a son called, Bill, and I am no longer with his dad, as we split mutually when he was a baby. I never imagined my life as it is now, with children to different partners, but I am so happy that it is my life. I met Mark in the summer of 2013, and we became firm friends. We fell in love when I became single and we’ve never looked back. We have a daughter, called Daisy, born April 2016, and a son, called Stanley, born March 2018. This is us now. I'm done having babies and just excited to watch them grow, as a family of five. I don't consider myself to be anything other than a mostly-happy, mostly-tired, average mum. But I hope you enjoy following my story anyway. x

Generally the advantage of a car trip is that you get to make your own time schedule, even if you do not have health issues, like a child with motion sickness. What a lovely trip. So glad you are taking us along. We will refer to your listings when visiting that beautiful area of England. The gorgeous scenery alone makes me long to be out and about. Goats are so funny and cute.

Excellent video Charlotte! My brother has a lodge at Hillcroft (he moved up the hill into a new one last year, having previously been in a different spot for years and years!). I stayed at one of the lodges there in 2013 and enjoyed doing much of what you did in the area too. I was impressed with Rheged (loved some of the individual little shops on the site!), and several trips exploring the surrounding area, including Keswick! My trip that year was middle of May and as I left, there was fresh snow on the hills that you can see from the site! You did an excellent job of showcasing this beautiful part of the world, which I can get to in just over an hour I'm pleased to say! Xx

It feels like such a small world Deborah! It's lovely knowing that people recognise places or they hold a special place in their hearts! I hope you all manage to get together there again one day soon. I LOVE this area so much. We have some lovely places near us, but the Lakes are one of my most favourites places to visit. Hopefully, when things begin to settle down, we can go back and visit again next year. Would be nice to look forward to! xx

What a lovely vlog, this is my favourite one you have made this year. It was lovely at the start where you read Peppa pig .your kids love Peppa Pig made me laugh when they were eating bacon sandwiches. Thanks for showing where you stayed it was a lovely place I wouldn't mind staying at a Lodge like that. It was nice hearing mark reading to the children , as we dont usually hear him. lovely seeing the animals too. Iooked a great family holiday.
