Until then, my guess would be to find a way to measure the velocity of a computer fan, plug it into your motherboard and then open up a DAW and create a digital instrument, hook it up to whichever synth arpeggio sound he is using here and then set the slider to be driven by the fan velocity. Sorry I have no idea which specific software would let you do this, I'm just guessing.

dude i got an arduino kit as a gift from an unpaid internship i once did when I was in uni years in the US. robots are not my thing so left it there, forgotten... but music gets me hella excited.
