I bought one of these boards and look forward to trying it. One thing you might try is using some sort of diffuser over your clear LED. As you know, the LED has within it three individual LED's -R. G. and B. Yellow is actually not a separate color, it's red and green added together. This effect would be more evident if you were to, for example, project the output of the LED by projecting it on the wall of a white globe, like for a ceiling light. Then the R and G will overlap on the wall with yellow in the that area and the entire surface of the globe will be yellow.

Good Job! I work for AMS and we make this part. What you are trying to do is actually very hard to do well. You are doing this open loop and limits the accuracy. We’ve done the same thing only have enabled a second sensor on the LED. The software then know how close is is to an accurate reproduction and can make real time adjustment. Also we coded a PID loop for this self regulation. It makes it converge much faster. Hope this helps.
@MarcialWills4 жыл бұрын
is there any chance you can share the project with that second sensor?
@floridian0803 жыл бұрын
I believe that readings might have been improved if you had calibrated the RGB sensor. Have seen youtube videos of calibration process for other RGB sensors although not for this one. Also, the readings for each color in serial monitor might have made the video more informative.

I found this much easier to use than the TCS230, and the colour rendition is improved by using one of those flat LEDs. I managed to get a good differentiation between red, orange, yellow, green and blue, and made it turn a servo to point consistently to angles corresponding to the different colours.
@alexsala46152 жыл бұрын
Hey Phil, could you please respond with the code that allowed you to control the servo with the colour sensor? I am having trouble connecting the servo control code and the RGB colour sensor code in Arduino. I am using the TCS34725 and Arduino IDE to code, along with a servo motor. Thanks.

has anyone seen something like this print out to a I2C OLED like and ssd1306? I have found several samples supposedly printing out to a LCD and never seen one work. I am trying to get it to output to an oled on a portable device and I suck at this. The wiring and all I have down pat but I'm way too green to know where I am going wrong substituting the OLED for the LCD. For that matter I have yet to see one of these projects out put raw values to an LCD and actually made it work.

@@Aysimlisa It uses 3.3V for its IO - including the I2C. The Arduino is expecting 5V, so you may not be hitting the thresholds cleanly. You can get interface boards that convert 3.3V to 5V and vice versa - fully two way.

I think it might be able to. You can set the tcs to x60 gain and the integratiom time can be set from 1ms up to 600ms. You may have to shine a light through the liquid towards the sensor and tweak the tcs settings, but you should be able to
