Paul, Your video is very knowledgeable and helpful. It just didn’t have the answer that I need it. What my question is, I read the manual several times and it said remove the battery from the vehicle before you charge it, does the battery have to be removed out of the vehicle to actually charge that’s my question. Thanks have a great day.

Best summary, no unecessary jargon/fluff. I'm just getting started. Had an issue with not being heard. Now I am being heard using JTDX after chnging sample rate from 44 to 48KHz on the usb audio codec but still nothing using WSJTX. Also no QSOs yeat on either one. I'm on an ic 7300 so still something off somewhere for me...Any suggestions? 73s M7JZW

You forget: a coax cable with an unconnected shield is a capacitor between the main wire and the shield, so like a capacitor lets high frequencies pass, so if your coax cable picks up noise, it will pick it up too if the shield is not connected!

I can’t handle this. As an old electronics engineer who learned to draw diagrams by hand; this is just so bad, so very, very bad. I’m sure the amplifier will work just fine, but can you please consider learning how to draw diagrams before you do something like this ever again? Please?

Good explanation, and taking advantage of your great wisdom, I would like you to help me make a bipolar square wave generator with the possibility of adjusting its frequency and intensity, perhaps aided by a PWM device. Thank you for your kind attention.

This video is quite informative. I initially believed that my unit was defective, as it consistently indicates that it is full regardless of the mode selected, except for the pulse repair function. I even tested it on a fully functional empty Moto battery, but the results were identical. It appears that these functions may be non-operational and serve merely as a superficial feature.

QUESTION, if I'm not sure about the quality of my flux, is it possible that by putting too much on the tip I'll make it dirtier? Or does it turn black because I simply don't control the heat well?

Man - you gotta explain what’s happening better. You draw the circuit, then you draw a logic table…but you’re not making any connection between the two. Talk about why current flows/doesn’t flow…

i will 3d print a battery holder so you can wire a 6s bms to the batteries in the charger and its easy to get a 6s bms from a hoverboard battery pack and scratch the plates to rough the surface of the nickel stip on the bms with a poking tool and solder longer wires to the bms board and use a simple 29.2v lithium ion battery charger to power the bms. my current hault is no battery holder so i can always use other peoples work and add on to it i appreciate yall

Hi, many thanks for the video, I got a similar kit (v. 1.1, purple board) and this helped me a lot. I’d like to add just one point: for calibrating you don’t need the jumper wire. Just closing J4 makes a path through 5 10M resistors so you can test with a voltmeter. It’s in the only purpose of this part of the circuit. Anyway, I’m here to learn, correct me if I’wrong!

Thanks....I have 2 old iron that my ggp had. The tips are in rough shape. I will clean and tin them. Maybe he used these on radiators or home gutters. I think they are 100 watts.

and what happens when the comparison voltage is directly proportional to the battery discharge? that is, this circuit should be in series with the battery and the consumer, the battery has 12.7V and the discharge point is 11.7V, volts are decreasing, what does the comparator understand?

OK I have built and rebuilt and I can't get this to work. I am using standard 100mm jumper wires that came with the breadboard kit- could that cause this to not show any voltage output at all? I have read that RF circuits need short wires to prevent RFI loss but it seems like I should still see something on the oscilloscope. I'm feeding this with a std 9 volt battery.

Great video though, i have a ton of ideas on what i can do with the arduino, thanks

The heat gun needs to be layed down completely horizontal before it goes into sleep mod I think.
Was there a plastic film on the hot plate? I bought a similar hot plate for less than $10 on AliExpress and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I'm building some microphones with SMD ICs and this will come in really handy.

There is a problem I don't understand. Have an old 12volt PS that uses 1 2N 3055.. Designed to use zener 11 volt diode to output 13 DC volts. That is not my concern at the moment. How does the big pass transistor know the load to maintain ? The easiest way to explain this simple concept I do not understand. How does this big transistor know when to increase or decrease the load power ? Working on this one concept for 10 years. I can build the lm317 circuit. The 7805, 7809, and 7812 with no problems. If I need that 5amp of power. How does 3055 know to hold the voltage and increase current? I am near a breaking point trying to understand this. Also from Alabama. Lol. Maybe the problem. 7812 may under or over bios the final transistor in this particular supply and others. Watched about 5000 videos on this subject. Sadly true. No one has explain this. I have fixed powersupplys by replacing bad parts. You can make most transistor fixed at a voltage. That transistor may not be at the right amps. Carlson give no detail, eevblog give no detail. I can go on and on. I like these guys. Never explain this.
