Folks who are concerned about the dead pixels should know that is from us mishandling the panels during the prototyping phase. This project went through many iterations and was physically challenging. There's a few tips on caring (and feeding) the cube in the learn guide so folks will fair better than us :-)

How rugged are those leds? Saw already a couple dead in the video

They are quite fragile, especially the corner leds.

not just corners, but entire outside rows. Breath on them and they are off like the dust displayed.
