Hi! Came across your video randomly searching inspiration for my son's baby album. I have started his album but struggling with WAY too many photos! At this rate he will have 3 12x12 albums for his first year. I doubt he needs that many ;-( I absolutely LOVE what you did here - so beautiful! And very inspiring. What did you do with the rest of your photos? Did you include them in any other albums - like maybe a family yearbook or something? I hope you can see this comment and share your experience. I am pulling my hair out this week! Thanks in advance!

Hi Julie. For my first daughter I ended up with 2 12x12 albums so I know you’re not exaggerating! But after that I knew I didn’t want to do that for my youngest. I really tried to pick “the best of the best” for her 6x8 album. I also do weekly pocket pages in a family album (which I probably have videos for as well from her first year). There I included more of the daily life photos. When picking photos don’t feel like you have to include everything. I focused on monthly photos, special events (family birthdays, holidays, weddings, reunions, etc) and firsts. I hope this helps! I’m always here if you have any other questions!

Another option for additional photos could be including a plastic envelope where you can just store the extras.

THANKS! That is so helpful. I am doing 12X12 and hybrid of pocket pages + traditional layouts. I have already done a lot of work (1.5 albums already) but only covered the first 2 months of my son's life! [Face Palm]. Although I can't redo the traditional layouts, I am thinking of taking some of the pocket pages apart and condensing if I can, especially that first album where I now feel like I included way too many photos of pregnancy / gender reveals / nursery / pre-birth stuff etc. I love scrapbooking but sometimes it makes my head hurts LOL. I really should have started with the end in mind but somehow mama brain took over ARGH! Thanks for your suggestions and inspiration! I'll try and find some videos of your weekly pages. PS: I am using the same collection on my son's album, except the boy version - it is the cutest! Thanks!
