Embellishments, yes please! Love your process and always love your finished art. Would love to do this for my first grandson coming soon. This will put a fire in me to get started. Thanks for sharing!

Thoroughly enjoying this series Johanna. Love the album, monthly dividers, index and title cards and it would be great to see the DIY embellishments. Such a good idea to set up the album and organise things before life gets busier (and even more rewarding!) with a third baby :) I have seven matching scrapbooks - for each our six children plus an extra 'twins' volume for the last two - containing all of their hospital bits and pieces and new arrival cards etc. Photos are in separate albums and journalling in one family diary. I really like the idea of combining everything together the way you have planned, brilliant. I just re-watched your video of Wren's Project Life album for more inspiration, thankyou xo

susankayej88 you would have certainly had your work cut out for you doing so many books! I'm sure your children appreciate them! ❤❤

Even I am not doing a first year album, this is very helpful since I have had an album sitting around to use from our travels that I have not put together yet. I really like the cards you have made ahead of time, which really is a lot more than what you think, even though you are saying it is not much. Thank you for leading us through this process. Blessings!

Chrissie VanDyke thank you so much! I'm so glad it can be applied to other album themes, I find it easiest to break it down into parts like this, and I wasn't sure if it would even be interesting or helpful to show these early stages so I am happy to hear! I hope you enjoy doing your travel album!

WOW, SUCH A CREATIVE WAY OF DOING A BABY GIRL ALBUM! I LOVE IT!
@riteasrain7 жыл бұрын
Many years ago now and I made albums of my kids' milestones, etc. Of course nothing like this was around in the '80s and today's albums look all very organised and a lot's done for you. But I'm so glad those days weren't digital because I would hate to have the photos just on disk because of overwhelming busy-ness. Love how you've organised your album, that's just how I would do it too. I'm a creative but I actually like rote jobs as well, strangely enough.

riteasrain having digitals only would drive me insane! My mum kept a traditional baby book with filled in prompts and a large box of photographs, all of which is so special to us kids! Scrapbooking has definitely changed a lot and there are so many more options!

so inspiring. I am going to redo my son's first year with you :) you are amazingly creative. Love seeing a new video from you every time. Already in the process of making my journal like in your pieces course. That was amazing btw... simple and doable for almost everyone.

Archana Viswanath yay that is awesome! I hope you enjoy going over it again, it might be easier having it set out previously and more time to enjoy the creative side of it 😊 i'm soo happy you enjoyed Pieces! ❤❤

I was thinking of doing a project life album as I’ve never done one and I think it would be so much fun now watching you get prepared for yours! I would definitely love to see embellishments episodes for sure! Many hugs and blessings!!

Meredith C they're really fun I think especially to break it up sometimes and do something a bit different from regular journalling! 💙

Johanna Clough for sure! And you can still add in pages without using the pockets so it’s like the best of both worlds!! Hoping to start using my channel soon and upload videos myself lol I just find I’m shy haha but hopefully I can get over that because this looks like a lot of fun!

I am doing Travelers Notebooks for my grandchildren-the next due February 8. I am also going back and doing PL albums for my three kids as I am organizing my photos and purging duplicates as well as “what is this!” photos. I would love to see how you make embellishments since I am working in eight albums and notebooks at once and like to shop my stash.

shearsheree so good of you to do them. Your grandchildren will be so grateful for those one day! It would be fun to go back and do big PL albums too, surely alot of forgotten photos and moments to look back on! I have the embellishment video filmed for you all, I hope it can give you some ideas!

Thanks so much. I am working on my daughter's first year album (she is going to be two next week) and am so happy that you are doing this series. I have started so many different albums for her but nothing seemed to work right. I picked up a 6x8 Snap album to do a hybrid project life and this is working so much better. thanks for the tips as you are making this process so much easier. :)

I have three grown up kids, and this process has inspired me to actually make them some albums. Your process is so simple and I think it's doable even though my eldest is now 20!

I'm only 19, and feel way too young to have a baby. But in the future, when I have a stable job, somewhere to live etc, I'd love to have a baby. And I'll definitely make one of these albums, it's just so cute and will be such nice memories to look back on and it could turn into an awesome 18 year old birthday for your child. (Sorry if my English is bad, I'm not a native speaker)

So good so far, can’t wait for the next process. I tried to start a first year journal for both my girls but never got around to filling it sadly, they are now 15 and 17.

Adeline Country Cottage it might not be too late to go back and pop some photos in, it's so easy to get behind though so nothing to feel bad about! The most important thing is being in the moments not just documenting them x
@adelinecountrycottage7 жыл бұрын
Your absolutely right, I may have to locate all my girls things I saved along the way, one thing I did do, is take a photo every day from when they were born born to the age of one. Bit obsessive I know lol but the were so cute I couldn’t help it. Ha ha ha

Congratulations on the new baby? How exciting!!! You are in for a change after having two boys. I too had two boys and then a girl. I am also a great Aunt and would like to do this for the mothers so they can just add the photos. I've searched for the Project Life monthly dividers but can't find them :(

Hi Johanna, please do an embellishments episode! I'm working on an album for my granddaughter, due in February, and would love to see your ideas. I wasn't scrapbooking when my daughter was born, almost 30 years ago, I wish I had made one - who knows, maybe I will someday... :)
