Hey Yasmine glad you're liking the content! Great question this depends on the functionality you need for telehealth but it has to do with the database security and the option of using a third party database and security and if they have it with the database security HIPAA compliant. For example some hospitals or healthcase agencies have used Glide Apps for their platform- www.glideapps.com/ For more details on their security you can find it here- docs.glideapps.com/all/courses/security-center But to pick a third party data to hold the user data you can also checkout Xano that links into a number of platforms like Adalo, AppGyver etc. Hope that helps take care!

Hi Doc. I want to create a fitness app where users can have profiles, and create custom workouts or choose from a range of workouts, as well as view coach profiles and pay for tailored coach training plans. I do have some coding experience, but also want to bring this app to market quickly and see these as a good option. My biggest thing is having a the option to have a lot of customizability in creating the app - allow users to upload photos, comment on workouts, message other users or coaches, etc. It seems like the main no-code mobile app building options are: Adalo, Flutterflow, Appgyver, and Bubble. I am not sure which of these will be the best suited, but want to start with the correct one and not waist time.

Also the capability for data visualization, so graphs showing PBs in certain workouts over time, and calenders showing days where workouts happened, etc. Thanks :)

That would be my choice IF I wanted to learn a platform that can scale. If I was focused on moving fast and scaling my business I would be looking at Trainerize www.trainerize.com/ or perhaps True coach truecoach.co/ Depends if you want to build it from scratch or white label it for your business. Hope that helps take care!

Gotcha no problem! If I'm building from scratch- Bubble. If I'm going to build a white labeled solution with the most amount of integrations focused on fitness I would go with Trainerize. Hope that helps! Take care!
@siarafabbri20732 жыл бұрын
@@docwilliams Okay thanks for the reply! :) From what I can tell, trainerize seems suited toward a single coach or group of coaches looking for a platform to reach their clients. This is not really what I want to do, I want to create an app that people can use to log their training each day, by either making custom workouts they log or choosing from a library of workouts I will create, and at the same time coaches can get verified, make profiles, and get business from the users of the app, and use the app to give people their training plans. This I aimed at fully being a mobile app, so that was part of my hesitancy with Bubble, because it seems like if I convert the bubble web app the app wont be able to be used offline and potentially features like gps and uploading photos could be difficult. Do you have any thoughts given this is purely to be a mobile app?

And the biggest problem is the source code!! You build your app and you don't have the code and you MUST stay with them! Also I read in their forum that the service is slow and in the last days the server was down! And because of that I lost the motivation because I don't want to burn my app idea then fail. That's why I started searching for another platform and I just found flutterflow today and from what I see it is much better because you can take your code and go with any other platform as I understood. But I still don't know if I can stay with them and use another hosting service other than Firebase, do you have an answer for this question?

I'm not for sure what type of app it is I'm creating but it's something like a P2P payment system, something like cash app, but allows people to use other payment apps to make payments. I have no code experience so this was helpful, but at the same time my mind is set on expanding. I really like Adalo because of the speed and layout, but concerned I won't be able to take my app out of their system when the app starts to grow.

Yeah it is important to make sure that there is room to scale in your app model and your business design. I recommend validating your service first and then go from there, as that will help you to see what functionality you really need in an app. Let me know how it goes!

@@docwilliams I've been using FlutterFlow and so far it seems to give me most of the control I'd want, but with a little bit of a learning curve as a designer. Elements aren't exactly drag and drop and move where you want. You have to work within columns and rows and do a lot of tweaking on the properties panel. But after getting the hang of it, it gets easier. I'm working with a developer, and the download code feature is what sold us.

Hi Doc, Thanks for your detailed overview of the two builders - you have reassured me that Adalo is probably the better direction and one which I have started in. I was wondering if you could advise me on if adalo is good for content-based apps E.g I would like my members to watch videos and view content in a progress-style education platform. ( watching fitness workout clips ) I am new to Adalo and just a bit concerned about where to store the content even if I use the £200 a month package is storage an issue? Thanks Kirsty
@docwilliams3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kristy thanks for reaching out! Adalo would be your best bet and the £200 a month package would be enough but depends on the resolution of your videos because that would change how many videos based the storage limits. But I notice you're using this for a progress-style education platform. Is there a reason you do not want to go with a Learning Management System (LMS) like Podia or Teachable?

Hey great question! That depends on the functionality of what you want the app to do to cue the user and remind them to change their behavior. For example is it reminding them they can only have 15 minutes on a specific website? Is it a text message every 10 minute sent to their phone during their working hours? Based on the behavior you want would determine what tool would be best. In general prob something like bubble or bildr could work. Hope that helps take care!

Flutter price does not seem to include tye Firebase cost, while adalo seems to have included the backend cost.
@docwilliams9 ай бұрын
Great point! It really depends on the amount of data and what sources you’re using. For Adalo some use Xano which will make you at a specific tier. For Flutterflow you can use Forebase which has a free tier which a lot of mvps barely pay anything (if it is set up correctly) and really depends on the use case. Or you could use Supabase which is more of a set price and won’t have tomworry about a lot of factors like firebase. What are you currently building?
@RikHaanen9 ай бұрын
@docwilliams Thanks for your quick reply. I built an app to check for ground water levels using FireBase and Appgyver. I experienced that the querying capability of nonsql database is really limited. Now I am designing a logistical app that will use the database a lot to communicate between 4 different organisations in developing countries. So there is little budget to keep the system running. And I am thinking to step away from AppGyver (unless the SAP backend is promising and affordable) and doubt if nonsql can support the queries without complicated programing of cloud functions in Firebase. Do you have experience with FutterFlow and Superbase? How well do they interact?

Or is it better to go with flutter? Or something else entirely?

Hey Doc, new to the channel and am pleasantly surprised by the content! It's helped me give Adalo a try and I must confess I'm a fan, thus far. Quick question, do you know if the free version of Adalo (as I'm still a beginner and don't want to invest until absolutely sure) allows me to program conditional actions? As in, if a user enters a value into a text box and the value equals string 'xyz' can that be entered as a variable and then can an action take place based on the value of said variable. Also have an upcoming project where a random number is needed. I know in playing with apps like Thunkable before, they had an option for a 'randomizer' which would handle that, can Adalo do something similar? Thanks again for all the content and hard work, you have a humble new subscriber here. Peace!
@docwilliams2 жыл бұрын
Hey, welcome to the channel and thanks so much for being here! First off, if you're talking about anything about relations in the app, it can be done (for example, 1:1 or 1-to-many), they do have that structure and there are options to bring in other databases that have relationships you would like. Regarding the number randomizer, I don't think so, but I recommend reaching out to Adalo or seeing if there are any third party components or plug ins.

Hey Axel! Great points and this really depends on the MVP you're trying to build and what point do you want to validate and how fast. I do agree I have heard Adalo can be slow with more users. I also plan to link a Web app and mobile app together. Is this possible with these platforms do you know? 🤔 I'm just starting out, have zero coding experience, and am mostly a designer, but I have game dev experience using the unreal engine which is mostly no code and node functions.

Hey Stephen glad to help and welcome! This depends how much time and functionality you want to expand for a recruitment app. For example is mainly going to be a job board and then automations for specific recruiters will get in touch with the applicants? For the most part, I would suggest Softr. Here's a use case here: www.softr.io/client-portal If you want to try it for free and want to support the channel here's my affiliate link: www.softr.io/?via=doc The other option which is more expensive but it allows you to build it with white labeled out of the box is niceboard- niceboard.co/ But if I was just starting out I would use Sofr for an MVP.
