I was 99% convinced I was gonna buy the HS8's, but man Adam Audio is really making me second guess that haha. Would you recommend these over the HS8's? And would they work in a small room? I produce in my bedroom, it's a square and 13 square meters to be exact. Would I need acoustic treatment? Adam Audio is also so awesome at engaging with their fans!!

Loukes Hi, I honestly have no experience with the HS8’s so couldn’t comment. What I would say is, I really don’t see that they would be that much better than the Adams in this price range. I’ve been seriously impressed. However, for smaller spaces I think they may be a little overkill and the T5Vs might be a better fit. However, speak to Adam customer service, they are great and very supportive and I’m sure they would be able to support you. Oh, and I would seriously consider acoustic treatment before spending good money on monitors, it will make a huge difference in the long term!

I was testing both side by side in a Musicstore, i decided to get myself a pair of T8Vs, HS8 sounded too flat and mono after I heard the Adams, Adams are surely better for HipHop mixing and mastering, in my opinion the HS8 are more for Instrumentals etc. theyre more linear like I said. ​@@its.chrisrobinsonich war bei Thomann und hab über 20 Monitore side by side nebeneinander angehört. Die HS8 und KRK 8 haben eine Mittenüberhöhung. HS8 noch stärker wie KRK 8. Die Adam t8v klingen wirklich sehr ausgewogen wie auch Neumann und Genelec. Mir haben die t8v von allen über 20 Studiomonitore (auch teils sehr viel teurere) am besten gefallen. Ich würde dir auch empfehlen keine 7Zoll oder kleiner zu kaufen. Ich hab einen kleinen Raum und die t8v funktionieren trotzdem gut darin. Preis-Leistungsmässig kommst du an den Adam nicht vorbei. Vorallem kristallklaren Höhen 😉

Controls on the back panel are real basic. Not sure if this thing has an auto power daving / auto off feature, and if it does, can it be defeated, i.e. switched off? Also, Adam Audio had somehow "forgot" to include a 1/4-inch TRS balanced input jack. How weird is that -- considering that 99% of the studio monitor controllers use 1/4-inch TRS and not XLR. Whatever. I guess that is all that USD $300 will buy you these days.

I have bx5d3. Great speaker but the Adam have a much better displaying of the details. Unbeatable cause the ribbon tweeter.
