I agree Warchief425, a Native American actor playing a native part would have been awesome. No disrespect to Johnny Depp. Met Adam at my son's lacrosse game in Ottawa, real special moment for my son to meet Adam and his son. Down to earth man, and humbling. Love Arctic Air too!

Adam doesn’t need to flaunt abs with a face like that. Ive always admired Adam and being that he’s handsome is just an added bonus. I do agree about twilight though🤦🏻‍♀️ As if there aren’t enough Native Americans that wouldn’t have played the part better. It makes me giggle ever time I see Twilight and Taylor shows up in a scene. Oh my🤦🏻‍♀️ Not being mean against Taylor, but come on lol.

I was part of the 60's Scoop myself. My family was the Maytwayashings and Mcleans. The man behind the Day School Settlement was the late Garry Leslie Mclean. He was my uncle. I too am a Day School Survivor too. I first met Adam in 2000 and I learned Adam was my first blood cousin. I am originally from Lake Manitoba First Nation Reserve similar to Adam. 271. I was adopted in 1983 under the Fiddler name.

I think Adam Beach would be a great Prime Minister for Canada. He would give indigenous people the voice required as we build the Canada that we can all prosper, live and grow in. The eco industrilization, putting climate change as the challenge we will try to fix together by building the products needed and creating the right social structures. He is a successful Canadian and an amazing personality that i myself would support for our leader. The next Ronald Regan lol. We as Canadians must look for great role models and he is one of them. May he believe that he is that great of a person as we help him establish a more fair society the one that will really make Canada the greatest time in the history of our country. The greatest advancement and growth in the economy yet to come.

@ Kimberly Lisa. I've Heard So Many English People Say. I Have Part Native In Me. It Doesn't Make You Native If You Don't Live The Life. Even If A White Man Live The Life Of A Native Role. That Person Would Be Accepted But To Say Your Native And Not Live The Life Style Doesn't Make You One.

You're too clever. You got me. You saw that I would define myself as a rationally thinking individual who doesn't fall for ridiculous conspiracy theories, so you limited me to an either/or in which I come out looking stupid if I choose either option. Bravo. I'm ready to buy into your crazy theory now. Where can I buy a good quality tinfoil hat?

The first time I heard of Adam Beach was in the movie "Windtalkers", starring Nicolas Cage. I also saw him on the tv series "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit". I never would've guessed that he was Canadian, much less First Nations. At the time, I thought he was either Mexican or Native American (Indian).

-_- I use to like Adam, but his ignorant remarks on who is Native and who is not, really bothers me. I remember when I first saw Taylor Launter in Spy Kids, i though he was Mexican, Central American or South American. Why is that? Because Mexico, Central America and South America are regions with heavly American indigenous ancestry. Guatemala, Peru and Bolivia alone are the countries with the largest indigenous populations. In fact Canada and the U.S are white by majority with small population of Natives. Even if you combine the Native populations of Canada and the U.S, its too small compared to the huge Native American indigenous populations of Mexico, Central America and South America. Iv noticed that a lot of Native people from Canada and the U.S think that they are the absolute and ultimately last true Native Americans, and that you have to be North American and speak or have a French or English surname to be Native. The name "Adam Beach" is not a American indigenous language name, its English. North American Natives, see Natives from Mexico and Central America, and South America with Spanish language and surnames as "Lesser Natives". Why??? That is stupid. Dont they understand that Noth Americans speak english and french because they were colonized by England and France? And dont they understand that Natives from Mexico, Central America and South America speak either Spanish or Portuguese because they were colonized by Spain and Portugal? How does that make Mexican,Central and South American Native blooded people lesser indigenous than North American Natives?? The only people who can call themselves truly pure cultured and traditional indigenous Americans are the Amazon indians who are uncontacted tribes. Everyone else like Adam, are the result of colonialism and globalism, his name isnt Native to start with, and everything else about him, like his cloths and language and mannerisms ,is European. Some North American indians complain about Mexicans playing U.S Native American roles, and yet they say nothing when U.S and Canadian Natives played the main roles in movies like Apocalypto depicting Mayan of Central America. In fact those U.S and Canadian actor had to learn Mayan to play those roles, taking away the parts from true Native American indigenous Mayans actors who were mostly extras. Also not ever Native cultures in pre-columbia America were in small "tribes". Mexico, Central American and the Andes of South America had developed into huge civilizations with mega-cities. The Europeans colonized and forced them to adopt Spanish, Portuguese and Catholicism, but that does not make them lesser indigenous people than North American small indians tribes who were colonized and forced to adopt English and Christianity like Adam Beach's ancestor. Everyone is the result of colonialism, some were lucky to retain their ancestors ways, other werent so lucky and were forced to give it up. But should we punish them for trying to represent Native American people decently in movies?? No!

I gotta ask just how many Native people have you met that act like Natives from the southern American countries aren't Native? A whole lotta generalization you're putting forward here buddy. It might be due to the fact that a lot of people with Native ancestry from Mexico and further south don't know they're heritage as much. Not saying that is the case with every one of them but I have met a lot of people from Mexico or elsewhere that don't consider themselves Native even tho they have all the traits. With that being said there is some truth to what you're saying.
