He's an asshole but I love Adam as a character. First because it represents what an angel should not behave; he is irreverent, vulgar, ruthless and above all unscrupulous but fun at the same time. It's been a long time since I've seen villains like this, who manage to be both menacing and entertaining at the same time. Adam looks like Disney's angelic version of Hades, only a little more raunchy. I know it couldn't happen, but I would like Adam to return in new demonic guise, reborn in hell.
