I've spent the last year or so studying your playing. As an aspiring upright bassist/composer it's truly wonderful to have mentors /idols like yourself to learn from. As it stands im currently putting myself through music school on a full tuition scholarship as a primarily electric bass player. However i purchased an upright about a year or so ago and have been developing my own technique and style, im looking forward to purchasing your lessons online when it becomes slightly more feesable. I hope to see you one day in Canada, I'm in Brandon which is just a small little town but I'd probably catch a plane just to come see you play. Thanks for doing what you do and showing us what the bass is all about!

So I’ve been listening to this on repeat on CD in the car on the way to get stuff for the lockdown. This was the first time I saw the video. Turns out there wasn’t a flamenco dancer in the room and he does the steps himself while playing and doing percussion. I was completely floored. Same here! Spotify recommended this to me a few years ago and I quickly added it to my playlists. It was not clear to me how the percussive stuff was generated. It didn't dawn on me to search it on KZbin until now, when I needed the video for my blog. Now that I see what was going on I am once again floored! Pin drop as well as jaw drop!
