The rumbles really ticked me off this year. Not just because of how much unrecognizable music there was (carrying on from last year, to the point where you don’t know who’s coming til the camera’s on them), but because they were predictable. Once Rousey’s return was confirmed, it was obvious. Once Brock was screwed over by Roman, it was obvious. The Rumble should neeeeeeeever be predictable

The Liv Morgan match was especially frustrating, because you could see the story they were trying to tell, and it was an excellent one: Morgan, completely outclassed in the ring, but refusing to quit (she held on and escaped from Rousey's finishing armbar--the one that had, up to that point, gotten *instant* tapouts from everyone it had been slapped on--multiple times). Rousey, more and more frustrated and getting tunnel vision, focusing on nothing but getting Morgan to submit, to the point where she doesn't realize that her shoulders are on the mat...and then WWE ruined both the match and Morgan's character by having her tap out right before the pinfall. What a waste.

I mentioned this in another video but Liv Morgan is EXTREMELY lucky that the crowd didn't completely turn on her after the Ronda feud. I think it's safe to say after having a great No DQ Match on Smackdown against Sonya DeVille (where they got this is awesome chants), great tag match against Damage CTRL with Tegan Nox, and even the bit of the gauntlet match against Raquel Rodríguez a few days ago (where people were giving her praise for being the best part of that match), and literally having quality matches with literally everyone else in 2022, she was not the problem in her title reign at all. As much as Ronda wants to say that she came back to put new people over, she is doing a horrendous job at that.

Kaz getting the pop of his career for leaving Sammy was fantastic, as well as Sammy kissing Tay any moment he can to enormous boos tickled my funny bone

As we saw from the end of her MMA career she doesn't handle adversity well. When everything is going great for her she's great. She won her last three title defenses in a little over two minutes. That's not two minutes per match but two minutes _combined_ for all three. It was amazing to watch. Then Holly Holm made her her look silly and she vanished for over a year. She came back and tried to retake her title from Amanda Nunes and was made to look even sillier (she got TKO'd in less than a minute) and was done.

For someone who hadn't wrestled before, she was a natural, and given time could've easily become really good, even great. But since coming back, she doesn't want to put the effort in anymore. Charlotte vs Ronda at WrestleMania 38 wasn't very good. The build up didn't get me hooked. The match itself wasn't anything special. And it ends on a ref bump, Charlotte winning with a BIG BOOT to set up a rematch for the next PPV. A match for the SD Women's Championship at WrestleMania, with the Royal Rumble winner, had a bad finish to set up a rematch for the next PPV. It also didn't help that it had to follow Becky-Bianca and Seth-Cody.

The Problem with Jade Cargil is mostly bad booking which isn’t hiding her negatives. Goldberg steamrolled his way to the title in a short period of time and that’s why it was effective. Cargil is having now for a better part of the year boring feud after boring feud with no solid build up or even a little bit of a promise that the title would change hands. Both Rumbles this year were so unpredictable and lame. Vince, when he was still in charge at that time, couldn't care less about pushing any new talent or talent that should've been pushed but didn't because...Screw the fans, right? This was Vince's way of overbooking overrated-ish people like Ronda, Brock, and Roman, since those are probably the only people he gives a damn about. And speaking of Ronda...*huge sigh* She definitely tries too hard at not trying at all, and her Survivor Series match with Shotzi was the worst of this year, if not, one of the worst of the year. And it really wasn't Shotzi's fault TBH, but I think at this point, they might as well just release her if they're just gonna undermining her just so they can get Ronda over with the fans, which is not a easy task. But yeah, Brutes/New Day at this year's Mania...HORRIBLE.

Honestly I feel sorry for Omos. Man's that size at 28, with some seasoning and a real monster attitude we could have Big show 2.0. Remember Omos doesn't move, that doesn't mean he cant. Khali had many leg problems and actively couldn't move faster than a tectonic plate. Man wrestled some great simulated matches in my 2k23 MyGM vs Ali and Ricochet. And honestly, yeah. Throw a cruiserweight like Ali or Ricochet at him, someone who can pinball around the ring and also get some good hope spots with springboards and leg strikes. Works much better than Giant vs Slightly Smaller Giant.
