It’s take a strong man to recognize and admit and take accountability for his mistakes and his setbacks. You have come a long way and you are instilling your wisdom into your children who one day will carry on the legacy you have left for them

Adam you just spilled the beans, your human. Yes a lot of us have made mistakes and thankfully alot wake up to the fact and a few have the will as you do to fight back. Dude you'd be awesome to sit down to and talk. I suffer from panic attacks and it has been a battle to go do what I want at times and that cooks up the pissed off part. I'm not mad at anybody but myself for not being able to control my own mind. It came out of now where and the thing that pisses me off is I'm not afraid of shit. Something in my head is but I fight it the best I can and push myself to get out. Enough about my shit. You have a beautiful family and yeah I like your stories for a lot of what you say I can relate to. You came from a sorry existence to what you now have as a life, dude that's some inspiring shit right there. I also listen to your music and I like Up Church Big Smo alot or different people but always see one from you and I may not respond but you can bet I was there listening. Personally I think your awesome you been in that fight and have won. You just keep doing what your doing. Damn your boy has grown. Take care ....

Great story. I appreciate the realness. It’s lacking on youtube. I was a heroin addict 17 years ago and once my daughter was born it kicked my ass into gear and I got clean and have done really well for me and my family since then.

That's amazing, unfortunately it's not that way for a majority of Addicts, addiction is a product of evil of Satan, and sadly it's much harder for most to see past it and they abandon everything they have for their next fix, you are an exception and I commend you, you would make a good counselor. Thank you for sharing.

Keep them coming. As a man of 68, I’ve walked in your shoes. Came out the other side by the Grace of God and living a life I never thought possible. Your message(s) are going do more good than you will ever know and touch hearts that need your love. Keep them coming. As I’ve learned life isn’t about searching for happiness, happiness is a byproduct of living the right kind of life. The journey home is never a direct route. Keep on trucking my good man! 🙏

This is so true that is an awesome response. and one of the best teachings is that we must stay on the narrow path stay away from the wide path and people are starting to get it. I’m also your age and that can’t be more true! Stay in line with God, and stay on that narrow path from here on! The wide path is the devils detour!

I doubt this comment gets read, but i feel like i need to share... I spent 15 years rippin and runnin doing heroin. All types of crime, homelessness, turning girls out. Whatver it took to keep my habit alive, i was gonna do it. I went to county jails, countless rehabs, and finally prison. Ive been clean for 7.5 years now. Been out of prison for about 5. I started a painting business 6 months after i got out and its still growing. Ive got an amazing wife and step kids. One of the step kids now works full time for me as a painter. Ive been a fan of yours for about 4 years now. I just want to say thanks for your music A Cal. Its gotten me through some tough times. Appreciate you brother. You da man!

It take a big man to admit his downfalls and to stand up and say this is mine no matter how bad it is. I'm proud of you and what you've become in life. As a man of 50 I can't have kid's so congrats on the new baby boy. Your helping yourself by helping other's. I see a strong man when I look at Adam Calhoun, A proud man, A man that has a bad past but looks to a bright future. So in short yes keep this shit coming. Hell yeah!! Damn, we could be twins.. lol even though I’m older than you.. it took me OVER 40 years to learn it.. and like you, I’m a work in progress every day!! I don’t have the “fame” you have.. but we’re cut from the same cloth for sure.. I’ve been with my “Better 1/2” for 7 years.. neither of us are in a rush to get married.. I’ve been there 5 times.. ( long story ).. She’s been there once… BUT.. She’s my MF-in ROCK.. and there’s no way in the world I’d screw that up.. Males for some stupid reason, don’t understand, screwing around is a damn sickness.. and if you CAN’T realize that, or REFUSE to realize that.. you’re doomed for life.. Great stuff @Adam.. keep the stories coming.. I love this shit!! And I DEFINITELY need to hear it as a reminder.. Thank you brother!! Stay blessed and congrats on the new Young Adam coming soon!! Peace ✌️

God bless you In this life we will have troubles tribulations and heartache but in Christ we will have peace.

Thanks for sharing brother. There are reasons why celebrities take their own lives. All the money and fame in the world means nothing if you can't be happy with yourself. Life requires more than the materialistic and pharmaceutical vices we use to fill that void. For me it was Christianity and serving my family and helping others and once I started caring more about making others lives better worrying about me became an easier task to deal with. I so appreciate that you come on here and spit truth. Cheers

This life story hits close to home...12 years ago I was a cold heartless womanizing piece of crap. Drinking, sleeping around, never stayed faithful to anyone. My kids (now 21 and 17) had to see me like that and every day I hated myself more and more. Enter my now wife...she called me out and told me if thats the life i wanted then she wouldnt be a part of it. I started to change to be the man i wanted to be...for her, for my kids but most importantly myself. 11 years together, just celebrated 3 years married, a 8 yr old daughter and through all the ups and downs in life she is still here. Adam you are one of my favorite artists because you keep it real and speak from the heart. Keep spreading that message because the world needs it.

I'm 45 years old. I ran from marriage and responsibility into my 30's. Me and my wife have been married, June 12th will make 15 years now. This woman has stuck with me through thick and thin, and I've stuck with her. Much like you, I dated her, but ran from her at the same time for a solid year. I honestly treated her like crap at times, yet she stuck with me and wouldn't give up. Now we've been married for almost 15 years and I have three daughters who are my world. A lot of people say and claim this, but I would lay down my life without even blinking an eye for her, or my daughters. She is my world, and a plan on being her husband and best friend for eternity, even after this short life on earth, so I would never ever cheat on her for any other woman. Men, if you find a woman like that, who won't give up, and sticks with you no matter what, then you better marry her, because a woman like that only comes around once in a lifetime, if your lucky.

I think this message needs to be heard. I'm currently going through a rough patch in life. I quit drinking and partying about 3 years ago and everything began to get better. My wife and I have been married for 12 years and she has stuck with me through all the wild times while she stayed home and took care of the kids. The last few weeks have been rough because I have been really down on the fact that my business isn't making me a trillion dollars, but sometimes we have to step back and be grateful for what we do have. I listen to your music when I work out, the patriot and clean money are on my list, and I like about 90% of your videos pertaining to politics. Reason for my comment is to say, hey keep up the good message and know that you are doing some good in this world. Blessings

Also, never trust a man that... backstabs the guy, who's responsible for his successful career and beautiful life. Especially while the guy he backstabs, has lost his entire family, from them also backstabbing him.

👏it works both ways for women too. My wife walked out on her husband and daughters when i got als, to live with her homeless gambler boss because she was “not happy” anymore. Thank you for talking about integrity and loyalty

Never trust a woman who will abandon her family for another d!ck. I agree wholeheartedly with what you are saying. Being a Father, husband, a MAN - means standing through the trouble, sacrificing vice & striving for honor and virtue. The most sacred job we can have is that of a Family. Thank you for sharing YOUR TRUTH. That's the thing about TRUTH - it's the same for all of us. 🌲🦌🌲

I truly appreciate your candor and honesty, you are a living legend among paper mache people - this quote come to mind "A man like Ringo has got a great big hole, right in the middle of himself. And he can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it." Multitudes walk this earth feeding the insatiable hole within themselves never realizing you can't fill it, you must deal with it and close it with personal will, I am sober one year this week and stories like yours (and Tom's) were my inspiration - thank you, brother

I lost myself after my military service,I questioned everything I had participated in and grew very bitter,I'm a 56 year old veteran of two wars and thought i was invincible for so long but I was broken,I was always a heavy metal fan and never heard of All these guys out here speaking the truth! I want to be proud of my service, and I love my country and the way I was brought up,I've been made to not feel proud my country and my race over recent years,I found AC,TM and others that have given me a spark again,I'm back, sober, stacked and ready for whatever, thank you guys!

Adam, everything you are explaining, everything you are saying, points to an encounter with Jesus. Filled with love? Yes. You have been redeemed, bought back, and gifted with your family. GOD has you now.

Adam Calhoun it is such a good thing that you’re doing here - sharing your life and your story with other young (and not so young) men to give them perspective, and encouragement. A many today faces so many confusing narratives and attacks from all quarters and it’s easy to lose your way trying to be a better man. I appreciate you. You’re a talented, hard working, patriotic young family man who owns his human failings and shares his passions, and triumphs. Thank you and God bless you.
