Adam Calhoun was identifying the stereotypes of white people and black people. How many of them live and how many of them may see each other. He was identifying how the wealthy and powerful, specifically Hollywood, the media, and politicians, are constantly pinning whites and blacks against each other. They're doing that for a purpose, it keeps them in power. The song was about how whites, blacks, and people of every skin color, no matter what our differences may be, need to finally stand together as one people, because if we stand together, then the powerful will no longer be so powerful. It doesn't matter what our skin color is. Believe it or not, we all bleed red. If we just sat down and had an intelligent and rational conversation with each other, we would realize that we have more in common than we think. United we stand, divided we fall.

I was born the year Martin Luther King was assassinated. My parents were civil right activists... For many years, although racism existed, it was at an all-time low and in the last 5 years or so, it has exploded again, being perpetrated by media and news outlets. I can't tell you how these artists have given me much needed relief from the fear that our country would end up in another civil war. A race war. What I see is people on the far right and people on the far left acting like absolute morons but, what about all of us in the middle? What about those of us that just want the best for everyone? What about those of us that they call names and scream "Nationalist", not understanding that nationalism is being proud of the country you live in, being willing to defend it until death and making decisions not based on what's good for the individual at that moment, but how our decisions are going to impact future Generations. Your generation is tearing down the Walls in spite of what media and politics are doing to continue trying to divide us! United we stand, divided... We fall!
