@@alisonw7802 well....the problem is...do you really believe you got accurate numbers by our reliable mainstream media...here's an example. my fathers friend had to get fully vaxxed and boostered and wear a mask at all times, as per his job....well he was fully vaxxed ...wore a mask all the time....I attended his funeral right after he died catching covid..I also know people who didn't get vaxxed or wear a mask..all good..know problems...so you may think you are doing your part by following matching orders....the problem is you may be following orders that are totally off . I'm not saying that is the case, but anyone who is still buying the narrative hook line and sinker might want to do independent research . Another example, and one that showed my how bogus this was, happened when a member of the 1960s band the Four Seasons died supposedly from covid...I live in New york unfortunately and the headlines in the newspaper read ..Tommy Devito of the Four Seasons ..DEAD OF COVID......a person with know prior knowledge of this man would be scared of this dreaded disease....well tommy happens to be a family acquaintance of my father and I knew of his myriad number of health issues which for his privacy I won't write , but they were all serious...also ...he was 96...so it showed me how they use a word or term and keep badgering into people to scare them, when the actual numbers are nowhere near the reports...not to mention that states who had way lighter regulations with masks etc actually fared better then those with heavy regulations...just like everything it was used by our government to make inroads into people lives that they had no business doing .....the idea of protecting kids...my two oldest sons are 29 and 21...both caught covid and both beat it like the common cold..my 3 youngest are 17, 14, and 10...we didn't require them to wear masks or get them vaxxed and they never caught it all while being around kids and playing sports etc...my mother harped on me getting vaxxed which I was against...her and my father were both fully vaxxed ...I thank God didn't deal with covid , but both my parents did.....wasn't the government, Dr Fauci, and the media telling us that doing our part and getting vaxxed would lessen the impact of getting covid and stopping the spread? well tell that to my father's friend who died 3 days after getting covid all while fully vaxxed , boostered and masked.....

Western systems are working on the understanding of the individual as a souvereign. Without being souvereign why should you have the right to vote? You have to think for yourself. It is a necessity. Thats one of the important factors that are different from authoritarian countries. Adam is a souvereign. Also, you see both ends of the spectrum: the ones who do everything what the government says and the ones who do the opposite of what the government says. Both is poison to democracy. The c. topic presented us how weak some democratic governments are. I'm 79 and caught Covid. I have never been extreme about germs. I believe this is what kept me safe. a good immune system. It took me about 5 weeks to completely recover. Adam has it right on. Howie is a great guy and objective. That's pretty much what makes this discussion interesting.

Plus did have the vaccine? if not we did not have the vaccine or shutdowns or lock downs, the virus would spread must faster and thus making hospitals fuller and then leadis to rationing care for everyone which will many people would die and did die during the beginning of the pandemic. The virus was unknown is the begining and affected everyone differently. Kids getting sick would only have them take it back home to there parents, and many stories of the pandemic were of kids losing one if not both parents.

The first I heard covid had got to America was in Seattle, where I live. Also, it was in old folks homes. Adam is right, it was way over blown and I said so to my friends and employees. I flew during the pandemic, stayed in hotels and was around people and I never got covid.

I did end up getting it but made it all the way until it morphed into super contagious Omicron which I think the entire state of GA had at Christmas including all my vax family and friends. Howie & Adam remind me a lot of Robin Williams good humor, intelligent, and respectful to those whom you agree with on some things and disagree on others - that is the way of life that Howie’s daughter’s Jacklyn’s generation is unfortunately destroying because they have been brainwashed through the Propaganda Machine to be tribal instead of being intelligent free thinkers (like Adam) that seek truth rather than seeking approval as evidenced by the repeated questioning of Howie & his daughter if you go with the intention of searching for what is true that means when you don’t agree with the Left (when they are obviously wrong) “they won’t like you, they will go after you”. Been listening to the Adam Carolla podcast since the early days when "Next to Donny's minibikes " (Or summat like that) was in the opening. Had never heard of him in the UK before I started listening to the pod but been a big fan ever since. The guy talks sense. And always funny with it.

For some reason I don't like Adams podcast and yet I loved what he had to say here, especially about shutting down schools, which specifically hurt childrens lives permanently. I think howie felt awkward delving deep like Rogan does. He just talked instead of digging. It's nice to hear his daughters view sometimes because it's so mainstream and easy to refute. It's nice they were all open to discussion. Howie however was clearly misinformed about a lot of the news going out. He believed the death toll. That only takes a minute to find out is inflated by at least 30% but they should maybe stop veering off course so much with pointless uninformed comments. It's good to talk about the crazy shit that happened like closing beaches and arresting a surfer with nobody even a mile within range of him. We should talk about how to be safe and still continue life normally. It's weird that if you have a bag of peanuts you can have your mask off. Or as our doctor said two masks. "The more the better" lol so why not 9?

My son's school was shut down. He did his entire 1st grade on zoom. No kid gets sufficient instruction on zoom, especially this generation of ADD kids. We noticed in 2nd grade He was struggling with basic, foundational material which was to be learned in 1st grade. Many don't talk about this issue and how kids were set back academically. I get it, we we were all afraid and hindsight is 20/20.. but it did take it's toll.
