Director/Producer Justin Folk is best known for helming the 2022 hit documentary What is a Woman, starring Matt Walsh. Justin and Matt teamed up again for the follow-up, companion piece, Am I Racist? (now in theaters,) in which Matt goes on a diversity, equity, and inclusion journey and becomes a card-carrying DEI expert. Justin shares some behind-the-scenes moments from the film and discusses the state of anti-racism in America.

If you acknowledge the fact of natural evolution then I don't see how you can not be racist. Of course humans have evolved with different advantages. There is a reason 77% of the NBA are black, and 71% of the NFL. They are bigger and stronger through evolution and breeding. Look around your room and look to see what technologies have come from Africans, Aboriginals or Native American indians. Where have governments systems and institutions came from? Until the end of the last century, what you ascribe to actually existed (for the most part). No, they had it correct. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle says that the accuracy of measuring one of a pair of interacting properties inversely affects the accuracy of the other. In other words, increasing the accuracy of measuring one reduces the accuracy with which we can measure the other. You are thinking of Schroedinger's cat, which can't be known to be alive or dead (while in a black box) until you try to observe it, so that it can be said to be BOTH while in the box. That is used to illustrate the principle of quantum superposition.
