This is one of my favorite interviews now with Adam, you can tell how much he cares for and enjoys Alan Alda's presence and stories and just as a person.

Yes, isn't it just precious when we can hear him speak from a more comfortable place and also safer space? The into alone about not wanting to put him on the spot or hurt his performance.... that consideration alone is worth so so much. And that it's been a place where Adam could also just simply extend a question back and maybe take something away from that for himself and his curiosity.

I'm a disabled veteran with PTSD (military sexual trauma). I'm also an award winning actor, Veterans Creative Arts Fest. Theater scholarship. PTSD has crippled my ability to be part of community Theater. Never enough good leadership or consequences for bad behavior. I miss acting. This podcast was great.

I'm just a stranger who saw what you wrote. And I was curious to ask if there's maybe any other way to get this to work for you and be in your service. Without knowing any details, in a hence very random example: Like acting on a very small scale. Like reading sth. infront of an audience that may feel safe, like reading books to hospitalised kids or seniors. Or voice acting on something small like a local radio station? Or anything that connects you to what nurtures you, while keeping the risk for triggers as low as possible? This is my no means something that needs answering. Maybe it's helpful but maybe you're already on it, or maybe it's not currently possible at all. So "take what resonates and don't let the rest take from you", to quote a KZbinr I like. Either way I wish you to find your way from having survived to thriving. And if you're already there, then on to a place of sharing from an abundance within you. For there are surely things in life, that your individual perspective can shed a new or helpful light onto. Hoping you are as well as possible and allowing yourself all the self-care you deserve. With Greetings from (maybe) far away Germany.

[Oh shoot I totally missed it's this channel and not an official one. Sorry about that. X'D I'll leave my comment as is.] Thank you for talking about AITAF (Arts in the Armed Forces). And for this caring and personal interview. For both sharing your experiences. I have found some new things in this beautiful talk. The section about acting was also very very interesting. I've been in plays and otherwise on stage as a kid and teen. The way you talked about the perspective from stage with the audience was so relatable. Even though my personal opportunity to notice the audience was mostly when I was off stage and then during the finals. I was too young and nervous to extend my concentration that way while on stage. I miss theater. And at the same time,.... life is so full of drama, that I've come to prefer contemporary dance or very specific live shows of bands. I'm trying to get myself out of my head and out of emotional pondering and into my body and into the moment. They're similar, yet they address different parts in us.

I am so glad that you posted this on KZbin. It would be really helpful to put something about Alan Alda's podcast in the description (website, preferred social media, ect) I have to mention I grew up on MASH and still watch it. Now you can joke about me not mentioning being an Adam Driver fan, lol. Actually, I am. It is great to hear about your military experience in this converation. Thank you.

Loved hearing Alan Alda talk about Diana Sands. Don’t hear her name being mentioned often.
