That "self indulgent rubbish" was one of my favorite moments when Adam was on Idol. He literally turned the country world upside down with his interpretation of "Ring of Fire"!!!

I so agree, how anybody cannot realise what a beautiful voice he has and what an awesome human being he is - I will never understand....... I listen to Itunes radio USA and Uk stations and Adam's music is hardly played!! Other artists get played with monotony, Adam's music is the best.

If he's not nominated for at least one Grammy after the great album he's released this year, I'll kill someone. lol Seriously, it would be the most unfair thing ever. He totally deserves it this year. "Trespassing" is one of the best, most solid albums I've heard lately. Sadly, the American music industry doesn't seem to like him that much. Shame on them! With the kind of "artists" you hear on the radio nowadays, it's clear the music industry knows nothing about music... How sad.

Paula was the one who saw in Adam all that he is now. And Adam looked so sad at the end of video when he remembered what Simon said. :( But Simon was wrong he just couldn't see that huge talent that is in Adam. And Adam we love you sweetheart!

Simon saw it too, he was his favorite tho... he just honestly said he was theatrical and other of those things.. but he wasnt saying anything bad about his voice because he likes it... adam also love simon because he learn from his commentary about his singing and that makes his style expand through.out that season, showcasing his talent not just on rock but in other ways too.. he did mention that if you couldnt handle simons comment then you wont last long in the entertainment industry....

I remember when Simon said “absolute self indulgent rubbish” it was right after he sang Ring Of Fire, which was one of his best performances on Idol. I loved it, was not rubbish!
