He’s by far the best male vocalist of his generation. His pitch is perfect. saw how amazing he was when he was on American Idol. The only reason he lost was because he was outed in a newspaper or magazine right before the finale and the LBGTQ community was not accepted then like they are now. There is no possible way he could have lost otherwise. He was head and shoulders above the competition. The funny thing was he got crap for not being out by the LBGTQ community because they decided he was hiding and not out and proud. His response is that he was out to all of his family and loved ones, he didn’t realize he had to announce it to the entire world in order to be out. He thought it was none of their business. 9:16

I pretty much avoided him b/c I couldn't hear anyone "taking Freddie Mercury's place".. but when I finally did hear him playing with Roger & Brian, I understood his incredible talent and respect for Freddie's songs... I also know that Freddie never cared if anyone played or sang his music..(he famously said: "I don't care what you say or do with my work after I'm gone.. just don't make me boring") and pretty sure that he would have approved of Adam...

His vocal technique is virtually flawless. There's no noticeable break between his registers, he has a brilliant understanding of how to manipulate his vowels to get the best sound, his runs are seamless, his very forward tongue placement when he goes high helps really open those notes up, and he makes everything seem so EFFORTLESS! I know he had a little bit of operatic training, but he's able to combine that with his pop/rock style, give you the distortions, growls, and cries. All in all, I think he's one of the best singers working today.

Brian & Roger know a good thing when they hear it - Brian has called Adam "The gift from God". I was weaned on Queen - when Freddie died - like everyone - I assumed that was it. I refused to listen to any of their other collaborations as no one was Freddie. Then by accident I heard Adam singing with them in 2014 - and I was hooked. I can happily listen to both Freddie and Adam sing those songs - because they are both perfect in their own way. Adam is phenomenal! ❤ I watched him right from his first AI audition and knew right then and there that he was special and every performance after that just endorsed my opinion. Adam has just gone onward and upward from his Idol days. His solo stuff is awesome and I could listen to him for years. but… to be the current lead singer of Queen, one of the most phenomenal bands ever, for them to allow Adam to take on Freddie is a massive, just massive honour! Queen went 20+ years after Freddie’s passing without a lead then they chose Adam and he just slid into the role with no hesitation, with complete control of every Queen song, completely deferring to Freddie’s genius with an Adam twist…no more needs to be said!!! The man is just a phenomenon. ❤

This is one of my favorite songs, love Adam. I do think he is one of the best vocalist of all times. I agree with the comment about Who Wants to Live Forever at Isle of Wright, that is a beautiful and emotional song dedicated to the victims of the senseless shooting at The Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Brian and Roger were clearly moved by his performance as was the audience.

Someone wrote Adam had a "touch" of operatic training... A touch... what Adam can do with a touch of ANYTHING is take it to the end of the universe and back. He is literally, one in a millennium. Extraordinary. Singularly exceptional. The sole occupant of a class of perfection. To all him a vocalist is shallow. He is all things musical to the nth degree.

The live versions of the Velvet songs give me CHILLS. I absolutely love this song. He's so dang musical and so effortless in his runs and can switch up genres without a pause. I've been blessed to see him live twice AND with Queen twice, and it is well worth it. My husband saw Queen with Freddie in the late 70's and he was skeptical to see them again with Adam, but he was completely blown away.

As you mentioned , feeling something, “Feel Something “ is another song gorgeous song performed in the Live Sessions written with Benjamin Cork who opened for Adam last summer at Royal Albert Hall in London. Adam named his non profit foundation The Feel Something foundation. Superpower from the Live Sessions from his EP Velvet hi lite Adam going seamlessly through his range into falsetto . It is deceptively very technical. And a great message.

Great reaction Sebs, you did a great job describing the meaning of this song! Adam in incredible, Roger and Brian from Queen said in an interview a couple years ago that Adam had the best voice on the planet and I believe it! I've followed and listened to everything he's done. So incredible how great his voice is, there's nothing he can't sing. Also yes he writes most of his music and produces it cause he wants it a certain way and is present when its produced to make sure it comes out exactly like he wants it. A not so well known song of his that I know you would absolutely love is Sleepwalker, incredible song with his incredible voice!

I had at the time he was a constant on AGT ,a beautiful sheltiie..this dog had an attitude. While i was l istening to the performers he laid on the bed facing away from the TV. UNTIL Adam started singing ,then he stood up and actually watched..the entire song..till Adam finished then Mr Samwize turned away and laid down for the rest of the evening. Pink fell in love with his voice and gave him the song Whata. Want From Me. He does one version live on stage on his own where he’s sitting on a stool. Pink also sang it after. I love Pink.
