Watching this back it is clear that this battle would’ve been an easy OMT call if it were the actual comp. But that said, Connor’s weird transition to OZ 3 was a bigger mistake than Adam’s wall tap
@itranscendencei79649 ай бұрын
I'm honestly not so sure about that. Connor's late transition didn't kill the run, just made it weird. Where as, I'm not sure if the run would have died or not from Adam's wall tap if Connor wasn't there to save him. The only reason that Adam was able to get right back to angle like he did is because Connor was close enough in the chase to stop him from counter rotating any further and literally hit him back into shape. If Connor hadn't been so close, it's possible that Adam could have straightened out. That was a pretty hard hit. I definitely agree 100% that this would have been an easy OMT in comp though. Definitely not an easy call to make.

1.10 Adams little tap to conors quarter made him hesitate and straighten 1:09

Ok, after watching adam's video where he says he had contact at zone 3, I'm changing my mind and it should have been Connor's win.
@itranscendencei79648 ай бұрын
Agreed. The reason Connor's transition was late in his lead was because of the contact from Adam around zone 3, I believe. So in the end, both mistakes in the separate runs were Adam's fault.

Sucks that these guys have such a big following and it started such a debate over a seeding run because for general drift fans this battle was so dope to have in Long Beach, literally the first day!
@Vert3448 ай бұрын
For those fans confused... Conor's straightened wasn't deemed a "0" by the judges as per the new rules. But it was a HEAVY and I mean "Big" points deduction against him. Especially since his line, and positioning was way off in his lead coming into the last zone. Even compared to his previous runs and all of practice as well as comparing it to others leads in the same area, that mistake was massive. Adam's wall tap was major but even if Conor didn't hit him he still would have been on that same arc going into OZ3. Honestly Conor hitting him after made his hit seem even WORSE considering it was contact due to the wall tap. I think if it was top 32 this would have been a OMT battle probably... but with the rules and weighing the mistakes of the two... Adam had the slight edge in the end. Regardless... both drivers were absolutely on point.

If adam was competeing in fd they would have sent him through but knowing this is his only rounf they dont send him through for points reasons i understand that but if adam competed in this car i think he wouldnbe a force to reckon with and deff would be in the hunt for a championship he was just never really all that comfortable in the rtr mustang camp with the car. This car he has dialed in and as light as it is vs the lower hp he for sure is a top contendor

Nobody was "robbed", there were no losers in this battle, that was just for a position on the top 32 bracket, it was a really close battle on both sides.
