I wouldn't call his flexibility insane. But his mobility is really impressive

Name more than 1000 people who can do what he did? Exactly anybody competing there is the top 1% of climbers and you have the audacity to say what you said 😂

@@HoeHandlerBefore posting comments you should consider thinking and getting some knowledge about the topic or you'll continue to make a fool of yourself. It's quite obvious that you don't know anything about sports. I'm a rock climber and I climbed with Adam before (to be honest just a few meters next to him). Furthermore I'm a huge fan of Adam and it was never my intention to badmouth this climbing. For one thing there are many flexible people out there. Ballet dancers or female gymnasts are more flexible than rock climbers but rock climbers are way more flexible than average Joe. But that's not the point. There is a difference between flexibility and mobility. Flexibility is passive range of motion while mobility is active range of motion (which is a lot harder to get btw). Here Adam showed his great mobility not his flexibility. But the video title is about flexibility. That was the whole purpose of my comment. Most people here got this. That's why the poster liked my comment for example.

In that case you'll be delighted to know wingspan is more than just your ape index. ape index is wingspan minus height. A +10 could be massive for a very short person while for a very tall person it might not be all that noticeable. Consider that Adam Ondra is one of the tallest currently active professional climbers at 190cm, and ape index starts to be less important than total wingspan, although a +10 is still an even further advantage. I apologize for my harsh comment, I didn't realize you were still developing. I should stop assuming everyone on the internet is an adult. or rather, that everyone on the internet has an exact understanding of everything I do.

Adam is so good at bouldering because he’s so agile and flexible in his movements. A joy of a human being too !

I wouldn't call this flexibility, but mobility and reach is insane, plus the way he moves and uses his body is insane!
@abhisheth5883 ай бұрын
Although Adam as shown that he is REALLY flexible, this isn't it. It's more so about wing span.
@KingCrabSuited3 ай бұрын
As a casual observer of climbers, I was wondering exactly that. It seemed to me that he had an easier reach than everyone else shown previous.
@dworkina.90153 ай бұрын
@@KingCrabSuited Nathaniel Colemn 180 cm +5 cm ape index (185 cm arm span). Adam Ondra 186 cm +1 cm ape index(187 cm arm span).
@KraaketaerАй бұрын
Doesn't look like this has much to do with flexibility - though obviously his mobility is damn good! - the main difference between Ondra and the others shown here is his body positioning when moving into and past the first large hold. He has his arms and torso oriented pretty different from anyone else, which lets him find stability and reach.

It didn't seem like it was really his flexibility that got him the send, but as mentioned by others, his reach. I mean, yes he's flexible, but by no means did this video show anything 'insane.'
