3:10 his point on why to open the legs so much if there is no gain in forward propulsion is right! From physics you know this as a fact, force integration along a path. Only the component pushing backwards will propel you forwards, well known factors other component net to ZERO, why did it take all these years to know this. (from a physicist)

There is something to be said about body mechanics though; in tennis the setup for some of the best forehands/backhands are perpendicular to the motion of the ball I think there is some amount of protonation involved

In tennis the density of air is very low compared to water, so the motion needed to obtain high acceleration is either a whip=like action (modern tennis) or a longer path obtain by backwards motion as well as off-the-plane of ball direction, very different reasoning, in swimming you can not afford that It is different driving a car and flying a plane. The higher the head lift , the more drag would be created. Would it be possible to dive forwards longer length without lifting our head high above the water.

What makes you say that? If anything there would be less drag with a high head lift, since it's much easier to propel yourself in the air. Assuming your hip position stays the same, getting your head and shoulders above water is faster.

@@jacobwarden5565 I found stay higher the upper body in the air makes me feel need more effort to move forwards but as I lift less higher and drill through the water like butterfly drill I feel move forwards with less effort and smooth with the next kick & drill though

No offense but it could be a mobility issue. Adam and other world-class breaststrokers have exceptional lumbar flexion, so they're able to get up higher without conpromising their hip position. Though tbf that could just be because of their long torsos compared to their legs. I'm not saying you should focus on getting your body out of the water though, just that it's OK to have a good amount of lift if it comes naturally.
