The fake Adam Sandler loved this! Farley was a comedic chaos ball and sadly, it wasn't shocking his heart gave out. As a Wisconsinite, he made us proud. It's always the funniest people hurting the most within.

Sandler is just the coolest. Met him once outside Yankee stadium. He was clearly in a rush, so I didn't want to bother him. My friends still asked for pics and whatnot, and he obliged. He didn't care he was in a rush, and told us his fans are what matters to him. Always had my respect after that.

That’s so awesome to know!!! Thanks for telling us that, man . Because we shouldn’t care that much about celebrities but it is what it is! I wouldn’t extremely bummed if you said he had acted like an a$$hole but still respectful that he is a person too and probably had somewhere way more important to be than any of us would! Glad to know he was really cool !

i met him at a waffle house in NYC and he is so humble and down to earth i was just a 12 yr old boy at the time and he sat down and talked to me for 20 minutes about what i wanna be when I grow up and told me to always work hard and stay motivated and to never let myself fall short of the crowd but to fall behind and buy a lambo and drive through the crowd and to this day ill never forget those words 11 years later I'm now 22 and now I'm an underwater welder for ocean corp making 7 figures a year driving ofc a yellow lambo thank you adam for changing a little boys life that day ill forever be in your dept

One thing I love about Sandler. He was loyal and never forgot his friends. Most all of his movies he would get his friends roles in them and spread the wealth and make sure they were getting paid. Good man.

The thing was he even came back to host because you know it wasnt Lornes fault. It was the bigger heads in the company who decided to fire Sandler. At the time, SNL wasnt getting great views. Now looking back, the 90s cast was the best to ever do it

You know you've made it in life when you can get fired from one of the biggest shows in TV, have a successful career (whether you think his movies are good is a separate debate), come back to the show that made you famous, and throw SO MUCH SHADE!!!! Agreed. One of my favorite all time What If scenarios is "What if Sandler stayed for the 1995 season?" I don't think it woulda been as bad as a lot of people think it could have been. In reality while NBC hated him and wanted him gone they didn't really fire him per se, he decided to go to make sure everyone kept their jobs. They were gonna either cancel the show if Farley, Sandler, and a majority of the cast didn't leave or replace everyone including Lorne. Adam told him instead he's go as he had 2 movies coming up that next year. Adam mentioned that in one of the SNL books. He loved the show and didn't wanna go in 95, Farley did but not Sandler he finally got to do what he wanted to do and loved doing it. He helped carry the 1994/95 season. A 1995 with Sandler season woulda been miles different for sure. One of 1994's biggest issues was there quite simply too many people. You had Kevin Nealon who had been there for close to 10 years and was burned out, you had Jeannine Garaffalo who started drama all during her run and made it all toxic, and you had people like Jay Mohr who didn't do anything. A good majority of them would be gone: only see Sandler, Meadows, McDonald, McKinney, and Molly Shannon staying. I think Ferrell still woulda made it but there wouldn't have been Jim Brewer more than likely, and possibly not Chris Kattan which is a +. I think 1995 woulda went well regardless. Sandler woulda been his 90's self still but he woulda had better actors and writers to work with. ? is how long would he have stayed? I say at least 1 or 2 more seasons. It woulda been amazing for sure; completely different show but way more fun.

@efan2012 5 жыл бұрын
Ehh I agree on the writing, it was rough that year but Farley and Spade were too worried about Hollywood to make an effort. Both of them going wasn't a major loss they checked out way earlier than everyone else. I've seen the whole season a few times; Sandler did WAY more on most shows than Farley did especially the first 4 or 5. Sandler, Chris Elliott, McKean, Shannon near the end, and Norm were about the only things they could rely on that year. Even Mike Myers was annoying at point; no big loss when he left either. I enjoy that year in terms of being awful it's a guilty pleasure and I'd rather watch them over Ferrell's run any day they are just more fun. but I spend most of it wishing they coulda pulled it together they all deserved a better last run. Sandler especially as he put a lot of effort in that year.

Most people get fired from SNL. I don't think getting fired from this show is really getting fired, I think they just try to keep moving new faces in. SNL doesn't seem like a show for established comedians, it feels like a training ground for up and comers and the when someone is established that's when they "fire" them.

Me too. I can't believe they fired Rock, Farley, and Sandler. And their ratings tanked during the mid 90s. You would have thought they would have learned in the early '80s not to fire popular cast members all in one go.
@jamesnoble8205
@jamesnoble8205 5 жыл бұрын
You have to remember SNL was going through a rough patch in the mid 90s and came very very close to being cancelled. They totally changed over to a new cast and the older vets like Sandler & Farley were deemed replaceable. They were ready to move on anyway because 6 years on that show is considered a lifetime

Aw man, I remember watching that finale when it first aired and being so pissed for all the actors. Basically they did a season finale fake cliffhanger where the whole place was set on fire and viewers had to guess which cast members would survive the fire. It was so disrespectful to the cast. I wondered if the cast already knew who wasn't coming back and just had to play nice for the cameras or if they weren't going to find out until August. It was embarrassing.

@@lanway13 Conan is a petty asshole, Jimmy for as much hate as he gets is actually a nice guy. I'm so happy that he's the host instead of Conan. Also Conan could have stayed if he had been willing to take to take what was likely a temporary push back of 30 minutes, but he said no.

Tasaman 1 lol. They did that on purpose to push him out. They didn’t give him time to make the show his own. Jay’s ratings sucked for years when he started. You know Fallon btw? He’s a nice guy? Tell him some guy from the internet said hello!
@Ethan-dn1wc

@@tattoochef425let me clarify. I'm looking at on air personality. Conan comes off as petty as fuck and Fallon comes as being fun loving and nice. I will also be clear to say that NBC was the main party a fault here they tried to have their cake and eat it too by trying to keep both Conan and Jay. When Conan asked for The Tonight Show in his contract negotiations they should have gone to Jay(if they genuinely wanted to keep him) and asked when would he be ok with handing the reigns over, and then went from there. Instead the made guarantees to both Conan and Jay that they knew would complicate things.
