I grew up in a (relatively) non practicing Catholic family and went to public, non religious elementary school, though most were students Christian. There was one student in my grade who was Jewish. Every year during Chanukkah she would bring in dreidels, gelt, latkes (and some other food I believe, though I can't remember anything else in particular). We would all learn how to play dreidel and other traditional jewish activities. I have always been in love with other cultures and am glad that I got to experience that in my youth. Wishing a happy first night of Chanukkah to all of my Jewish friends out there! 🕎✡

I"m Jewish, burt not Observant- Refromed, Ethnic Jew- Wahtever you like to call it. I think a lot of Observant or Orthodox Jews either are not failiar with this Song or look down upon it.
