Adam Savage Explores the Costumes of The Expanse!

Adam recently went behind the scenes of Syfy's The Expanse, visiting the production and exploring the props, costumes, and sets created for the show. One of Adam's favorite places was the costume department, where costume designer Joanne Hansen let him get up close to the custom armor and outfits worn by the cast. Plus, a visit to the costume breakdown and aging room for a look at weathering!
Season 2 of The Expanse premieres Wednesday, Feb. 1 on Syfy. Season 1 is available now, via on demand, Syfy.com and Amazon Prime.

Just saw tonight's Expanse and it was awesome, the episode before season 2 finale. They were playing the teaser for the season finale and saw someone familiar.. Adam! Had to pause it and was like holy shit, that's Adam Savage. So awesome and lucky to get on the show.

I almost feel like this is better than me being there and seeing it myself, as Adam can really appreciate every little detail and he understands the work that goes into making these costumes and suits. Kind of gives me a better perspective than if i just saw it myself...

I love Alex's pilot jacket,the one that has the Tachi logo want to buy one, also love how alex was not sure how to operate the roci at first, then he became an amazing pilot, space piloting is an awesome concept in the expanse

In the aging department, they kept focusing on the two of them and the suit got barely a second or two. They could have shown the prop while we could still hear their conversation.

Its an awesome book series, 6 books out so far, but there will be 9 total. The books are written by 2 guys under the pseudonym S.A. Corey, and they write alternate character perspectives then trade work back and forth until they think its done. The TV series is likewise terrific, and with Season 1 we were only about 2/3s of the way through the *first* book, so there is a lot of material for future seasons. The authors are advising on the show so although its different from the books, its still true to the spirt of the story they want to tell. Well worth watching, now my favourite SF period :)

there is some difference from the books and the show, but i think thats healthy to each forum. i've read all the books, since i saw the show last year. so yeah im a huge fan of this story/world/ miller amos alex naomi holden avasarala/ bobbie! and the proto and the concept of planetism. earth vs mars/ belters/ it needs to get hyped so much, its fun and smart. not something you see everyday

a pretty good thing that this series gets so much attention from real fans of the genre... it really is a gemstone and we should try to keep this talented team around to do more of this. hopefully netflix picks up US distribution of the series after its cancellation on syfy ( cancelling a 100% on rotten tomatoe? I do not get it). Well Alcon Entertainment will find someone else to buy into the next Season for the US market and since Netflix already has most Countrys world wide covered my guess is that Netflix will pick up the check for the US market also.... Adam as a real fan and maker of props is making a really really good interview here.. passion all around.. so thumbs up.
