So I noticed something that might be my favorite detail yet. As we all know, the Ecto is a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Sentinel. Living in the middle of nowhere, it would make sense for Egon to need parts readily available for it. SO, sitting in the yard, is a 1958 Cadillac Series 62 sedan, which by all of my research so far, has an incredibly similar parts selection (or atleast close enough for Egon to modify.) EXCELLENT set dressing. A detail they did not have to add, but wonderfully appreciated.

I didn't really get started until my 30s. it's just a question of whether you're willing to learn & apply yourself. Best part about being older is we know how it was done back in the day & when something needs that "retro look" that's so popular these days we can nail it while the kids will get 99.9% of the way there & see something's off but not know what. Meanwhile I'm over here laughing because I know it just needs a tiny wiggle because optical compositing was layers of film shot onto more film meaning you'd get the film gate jitter from those different cameras.

The VFX department liking the fact that Jason had a VERY CLEAR vision of exactly what he wanted... as an illustrator and colorist for a living I cannot stress enough how WONDERFUL it is when a client has a very clear vision of what they want. Most lay people assume that artists want absolute freedom whenever possible, but in many cases that isn't true at all. The thing with many creative people is that the possibilities are SO VAST and SO NUMEROUS that it's actually a detriment to have too much freedom when it comes to creating something for a client. I'm always happiest when my clients know exactly what they want and can describe it to me in detail, sometimes even providing reference for various things within the piece. It makes my job much easier, it lets me work faster, and in the case of jobs where I charge by the hour? It saves the client money.

I'm kind of interested if the sparse leafed trees around the house. Are they real, transplanted, groomed, or are they some part or more artificial? It seems that a live tree would not carry a constant look over time, like with the amount and color of the leaves. Also it seems that the trees would have been placed in those locations in relation to the shooting angles.
