I’m a normal dude 8-5 job goes to the gym 5am-7am and got Achilles tendon diagnosed by Kaiser was give R.I.C.E treatment and the pain didn’t go away until 18 weeks later yes it hurt less as time went by but still pain free after 18 weeks ….. praying for CMC!!! Please don’t rush it because I did feel like I was going to snap my Achilles at one point

The Achilles is a tendon. It’s the largest tendon in our body and it goes directly into our calf (so low calf injury always = Achilles concerns). As someone who also suffers from the same injury it’s scary because the pain does not go away and it feels like it just keeps getting tighter and tighter. Im afraid my Achilles tendon is going to pop when i go to hard in the gym

Sounds like - whether he comes back sooner or later - McCaffrey will *not* be the factor he was last season. Calf strains are the dammedest thing. I had one… just stepping funny off of a tree branch in the yard. I did ^nothing* to aggravate it… and it was a *problem* - black and blue and *swollen* for ~ 8-9 months. So, whether he rests (like me)- or actively rehabs it, a la Joe Burrow or Mike Trout - it is a *long road to recovery* . And then there’s the Achilles aggravation 😖. And he is a running back! 😧. It’s just a calf, I know, but my goodness 🙁. He ain’t gonna be last year’s monster for the ‘9ers.
