Love my DF2.1. Still get comments on the course re what’s that thing you’re putting with? It’s my Banding Iron or the Starship Enterprise, but when they keep going in, so many want to try it out. I still don’t think I’m a good putter, 10hcp, but I have used Arccos and now Shotscope and my best Strokes Gained stat is my putting. LAB putters make you feel like you can hole everything and when you miss one you think you’re putting Hadley until you check your stats. You just miss read the putt. Thanks to LAB for coming up with these crazy putters and Adam Scott for being a great Aussie Golfer and really nice guy. Yep, looking forward to testing an OZ.1.

Adam has done work with Muira in the past and I did not see that catch on. He is obviously a very technical person and his needs are not necessarily applicable to us amateurs. However having seen the OZ1, which seems to be heavily based on the two ball, at least the sole part, I think it is pleasing to look at and it will sell a lot.

Have a Mezz 1. Max and the fitting process put more 2 degrees up (72). 1 inch short and II 1.5 grip, LA Golf shaft.....Quite a change. Arrcos says I am +3.6 strokes gained putting compared to 4 HC and I am off 8 (was 11). Not as much a story about me as it is about trusting the process and the tech.

Perhaps could rationalize the cost for the performance and customization if it was easier to try them out. Love to try an upright, heavy link, w/o fwd lean and my preferred alignment mark. I could, for $600 and 2 months. Be less risky if knew it was worth $450 on eBay or credit towards another LAB.

Also, I’m curious why he never played with a DF.3 broom? I know Lucas played with one for a little while this year, but he also went back to the Mezz.

Kudos to Adam Scott having the courage and conviction to go against the crowd and to break from the norm. The golf industry needs disruptors and innovators like LAB, and the current zero torque marketing bandwagon demonstrates they’re certainly rattled. I find it amusing that the marketing hype from the big brands actually diminishes the credibility of their other non “zero torque” product ranges 🤷🏻♂️ BTW fun fact: the 1950s Asch human psychology experiments unequivocally demonstrated that by nature most humans are sheep, and very few humans are courageous enough to be the lone wolf.

With LAB "zero TQ" making that concept the now popular and "we all want to try thing" sweeping the golf interest, all the big companies have now rushed out a competitor for this season and with LAB being generally $600 plus and the big companies under cutting them at around $300/400 , LAB had unfortunately better be ready to find out that the majority of golfers are cheap and will be trying out the concept at a lower price. I would not be investing for much growth if I were them.

Adam's Scott has mental issues/yips when he's standing over a putt - and a big benefit of LAB for him and many others that have switched is the positive benefits from the psychological aspect of trying something new/radical - I'm pretty sure, straight, one foot putts, still haunts him. Take a look at this putt, most golfers could easily one hand this putt: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWTGcnmgl9OJsLc
