Nothing like a good old American upright player piano. Built like a tank. Excellent playing Adam, as always!

Something tells me this wouldn't sound right on a Steinway concert grand.

What a great talent to have playing the piano and looking away and holding conversation with friends. Adam, you are amazing.

When I grow up I want to be Adam Swanson. But since I'm already 77, I don't have much time left to achieve that goal.

@임은섭 Thank you. Not to brag too much, but I'm a very young healthy 82; I was a dancer and until recently exercised regularly, but it's mostly just genetic; I still love young people so I followed a lot of the young You Tubers like Caspar, Joe Sugg, Jack & Finn, etc., and I read all the time. I have a very retro taste in music though -- stride piano and music from the 20's and 40's; my favorite video is kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6ealpJ6jbF-gJo. Have a great life. (I don't have a smartphone though; I have a very old but free government cell phone that can just barely make phone calls.)

@@MrCrowebobby How is it going?
@MrCrowebobby2 жыл бұрын
@@Jesus_paid_it_all Just turned 85 and am recovering from a spinal operation (lumbar laminectomy plus fusion 5 months ago) to hopefully alleviate lower back pain while walking. Back is still "tight" so don't know how well the operation has succeeded. Other than that I'm still in great shape for my age. Sucks to be old, but I suppose it's better than the alternative as they say. Thanks for asking. Hope you're doing well. I'm off for my first physical therapy session in two hours. Have been watching the "History of Vaudeville" just now; thank God for KZbin and Netflix. Take care.

You mentioned that Adam seemed a little less focused on the keyboard and more on people in the room, I had an aunt that could play any song you could throw at her and play it well. In her late eighties she had a stroke that left her paralyzed and she could no longer play the piano. Her speech was hesitant and conversation was difficult. When I would play a song on the piano, she could sing the lyrics perfectly. I think music and the ability to play and sing comes from a different part of the brain.

Adam is focused on his friends in the audience. I don't blame him.

You have developed much. Very well played . It seems to me a little unconcentrated when you are looking out in the room most of the time - and sometimes talking while you are playing...Great playing !!

It was social occasion, not a concert.

Who is the author of this music?

The song is called "Whispering" and this is Adams rendition of it. That's how ragtime piano works.

Wikpedia says that Whispering was published in 1920 with lyrics and music by Malvin and John Schonberger.
