Yep, the T8V have more power than the T5V and T7V. The T5V and T7V have 50 watt for the woofer and 20 watt for the tweeter. The T8V have 70 watt for the woofer and 20 watt for the tweeter. Ratio wise it’s unclear to me why all the three T series have the same 20 watt for the tweeter. I’ve expected the T8V having a more powerful amplification on the tweeter too. I own the Adam Audio T7V btw.

@fu J I went to a music store and listent to many monitors. Adam audio was for me the best at this price range. Their highs and mids are just amazing and their overall sound is very neutral. I use the t10s because the music genre im into ( techno, house ). The bass of the t7v is good enough bur for techno and house you want to hear the low end a bit more so i have more an idea how it sounds in a club or big place.

Hey, how are you finding them for monitoring use at a desk? I'm producing house music and my production mentor said get the Adam T7Vs or the T8Vs, if I can afford to go up. I intend to use them at my desk in a 3 x 4 meter room (with my desk and monitor stands off the wall of course), most YT review content recommends just the T7Vs for monitoring at a desk in a small-medium room, some have even claimed that T8Vs are only for large rooms. My mentor has said that's not the case. I wanna go by what he says because he's very knowledgable (also Ableton certified and makes M4L devices etc, very clever guy), but I just need to be absolutely sure before going out and taking the plunge.. Any feedback on your experience would be greatly appreciated. :)

the resesed tweeter in the tv8 is for phasing at the xover point instead of dsp like they use in the krks edit: if your not use to the bass between 40-30 hz it can sound like to much bass on some songs since subass is just shaking your room and unless the track was mastered well the subass can be left to high in the mix making it sound abit much

@APBXylon
@APBXylon 2 жыл бұрын
@@vrobert94 He gets a cut from every purchase made through that link, a big incentive to hype the products he reviews. Usually a good review system follows a Gaussian distribution system where only 5% of products get a score above 9/10 and 5% gets 1/10 - the rest of everything sits somewhere in the middle. This system puts every product ever in reference and only products that deserve a good score will stand out. Zeos' reviews are 95% positive and only some are negative. This inherently poses 2 problems: no exact reference to how much better or worse compared to the rest of the stuff he reviewed and if 95% of the products he review are "best, top shit ever, go buy these asap" his opinion becomes devalued by the amount of times he said these opinions across all of his reviews. However, it is true that Zeos' way of reviewing is more of an entertainment than informative and I'm sure having to been listening to countless of different products he has a wider understanding. Still, every person has a bias on what kind of sound they prefer. For more educated reviews that has objectively better scoring system, check out Crinacle or Audio Science Review. Edit: I'd also like to add that while reviewers (not just Zeos) gets products sent to make a review - and they usually say "no money involved, they just want my honest opinion" the products that get sent to the reviewers has already been paid for, they show up on the businesses balance sheet under marketing expenses. Therefore, a product being sent to a reviewer already counts as the reviewer being part of the marketing campaign, which also mean the video is being sponsored indirectly through acts. Ultimately what I'm getting at is that conflict of interest is true no matter how "honest opinions" reviewers say.

Anyone who would be getting mad at you calling the t8v's a spiritual successor to classic Cerwin Vega speakers isn't an audiophile, they are just snobby. The classic Cerwin Vega D series is an incredible speaker line, they're not ridiculously accurate, but they do sound great, especially with restored crossovers and refoamed woofers, so if you're saying that these t8v speakers are the spiritual successor to the classic Vega stuff, they're really good... @@enjoshi-godrez8775 Yeah sometime ago I reconfirmed Lew from Unbox Therapy doesn't care at all about tech/what they review when I saw him riding his boat/yacht and his home. (the feel from those parts of the video, it's not that he has them). That's quite the contrast with Linus and people shouldn't forget that. Also we should know that we're not "normal" when we are considering audio stacks as "portable" or considering adding yet another (heavy) smart device in our pockets. Also I think limpy dongle dac experience further demolished the view on pros of the wired experience (they just suck) so even more people think of BT as the better way.

Are these better than the A3X which I currently own and use on my desk.

Been waiting for this review. I have the 7s and the 5s. Prefer the 7 for the desk which is 5 x 3. But I have been going back and forth with the T7V and my LSR308's . So the T8V may be a suitable end game for the desk.

If I use these speakers with a turntable that has a built in preamp, do I need anything else in order to control the volume or just the level knob on the back of each monitor will already work?

Skip both of those and find Emotiva Stealth 8. The T8V is a cute monitor. The Stealth is the standard.

@@Dede_Stepas man Yamahas are objectively one of the best speakers ever. They are brilliant speakers. Why are you calling it crap? Yamahas can even battle with Genelecs or Adams a7x
