In the early 80s I played in a band that covered most of the "New Wave " acts of the time. In those 3 years , the most difficult bass line I had to deal with was this song. I was also handed the chore of seeing lead on this song. Playing that bass line while singing Adam's acrobatic vocal style was the greatest challenge I faced throughout the entire tenure of that era. P.S. I didn't know Adam played guitar live ever !!! This is the epitome of coool.

If it's played the way he plays it on the live version I agree with you rwtorres1, but in on the studio version , it's all 16th notes. That was my only frame of reference & I was a stickler for coping the lines exactly as they were on the studio recordings.

Not really underrated, its just they didnt put out too much stuff that sounded like this and physical. They moved deeper into the eighties with stuff like goody two shoes.
