Pod just keeps getting better and better. These guys you are interviewing were some of the first DJs I was lucky to experience. So glad I was able to witness those times in the 90s as a youth. Changed my life for the better and set me on a new course of life and creativity. I wonder if you guys really understand the impact that you've had on us. Underground ethos forever!

You know your old skool if u know Full Sail. I graduated Sound Master in 97. Respect I still have some of the Factory mix tapes from Sonic. Hyperactive had one. I think it was live in Philly if I'm not mistaken 95/96/97 raves in Los Angeles were pretty big. It seeekd hy 1997 every weekend had a big 1500-3000 people raves. I wasnt really knowing the names of the raves but def the DJs. We got a lot of djs from SF and all around regularly. Like Doc martin, Juan Nunez, RAW, Simply Jeff, DJ Tron, Onionz, Garth, DJ Dan, Barry Weaver, Jeno, Blakemore aka DJ Trance, Steve Loria, Mark Farina, Hardkiss brothers, thomas Michael, john kelly, Donald Glaude, I went to JuJu Beats , the one Hyoeractive mentioned Like u said adam. Raves in Los Angeles were broken up everytime. Like 50%of the time a rave would make it past 3am. Specially after shit happened in downtown NYE 97 at Seventh Heaven. By 98 and 99 Spundae, Giant etc were all the clubs took over. And it sucked too. Dress codes and music went popular. All became prog house. Bill Gates killed raves. 1800 - underground source line was the party line in mid 90s los angeles

Joe! I met him when he played at Material, the club night my friends ran on Friday nights at Shelter. Such a quality guy! Don’t sleep on his set at WestFest every summer.

Loving these interviews Adam! I opened up for Frankie at Buzz in DC back in 1996- I admit, I was a bit nervous looking back on my final mix when I see one of the founders of the scene. He was so cool, encouraging, and far from a snob. Do you remember spinning in DC around 1993 for Scott Henry, and Leivan for one of the first Buzz parties? I'm 51, and my 5 year old daughter was brought up on you and your fellow producers music ❤

@ Me too- Scott Henry from Fever booked me for Buzz, but Lievan was sort of my in between guy. He ran Music Now if I'm not mistaken. We actually through an all woman's dj party and had Heather Heart in Baltimore back in 1996. We had the Ultraworld sound system and lights- those were the days!
