While I support and appreciate you both for all you do, and AWP and everyone else who is getting involved to search bodies of water......there is one thing I watched you do in this video you need to NEVER do again and that is at 12:02+ you stepped into the tire depression twice at least. Let's consider that from a forensics point of view in a homicide investigation. They go to the scene after finding evidence and see the tire tread they could use to take an impression to further build a case of whatever it is happening....but it's destroyed because you traipsed all through it, leaving your boot prints and messing up any tire tread...or maybe they assumed all the footprints are yours and fail to consider that maybe it's a homicide and others pushed the car into the water to hide a body. So point is, watch what it is you're doing and take care to preserve any potential evidence instead of traipsing all over it and destroying it. Even in that spot there could've been maybe a cigarette butt or dropped item and you stepped on it and shoved it into the dirt so it's never seen again or contaminated worse. Be mindful please. Not all these cases are accidental.

The police don’t have the specialized equipment it would take. It is not possible for every police department to have sonar equipment to search bodies of water. The equipment is very expensive, training divers who can use the equipment is expensive, man hours to send out a team to explore all water ways in a given area.It can’t be done. That’s why independent contractors are the right answer.

Its easy to understand why investigators would push back on someone searching. What isn't easy to understand is how do authorities with such egos get to be in their positions, and get to keep those jobs when they've been exposed. Many departments have someone in charge with a massive ego, they enjoy the control and authority they have....why? They will use this to make their income very easy to earn. The last thing some want is for an outsider to use common sense, minimal investigational skills, to show up and undeniably solve a case with little time and effort invested. This exposes their foot stools that strangely look like an expensive Desk to common hardworking folks. Adam didn't have to break a sweat, or even think hard on this one. Authorities planned to just keep chillin, investigating whatever active cases they have that will help increase their next budget and pay raise, not to go put boots on the ground tirelessly looking for a young man that has gone missing. Thank god for the people that are willing to put in the effort.

Jeremy was the one who found two teenagers that had been missing for decades... alongside a well traveled road that I'm sure both victim's families had driven frequently. To find out their loved ones were feet away from the road stuck in a car that became their tomb. I had never given thought to missing people possibly being underwater in their cars that were missing too. These guys are heroes, as well as the other search and dive teams that share their videos online. Closure. And although it may not bring them home, it gives answers to the loved ones waiting for them to come home. ❤️

Easy to say in hindsight. I don't think they have the funds to do a major search for every person who goes missing, sadly. Maybe they will learn from this and it will help them with cases in the future.

@@MsPinkwolf The officials used an air drone to fly over the pond, when they actually possess an underwater drone (We can see them using it near the end of the video.). They should used that underwater drone instead of the air drone. Would have taken about the same amount of time...

@positively_broad_st3780 Easy when you know which body of water the car was in. And didn't they say they thought the water was only 7 foot deep? So they probably thought any car would be visible from above.

Here’s a scary thought: I found and went down a rabbit hole subscribing to a few of these recovery channels about 2 months ago. The other channel I first subscribed to had just left about 45 minutes west of me. Familiar story of the family being a little upset because the police were a bumbling barrier from finding their teenager in a spot the police “checked a thousand times.” I turn this one on today and see that this is my other channel I found covering this topic has just left about 35 minute to the east of me covering a story some local news have just picked up today for Saturday edition. This is the scary part: The barriers to justice and real law enforcement and all the thoughtless bureaucratics, lazy state workers and goofy goobers that infuriate you when its Quahog Road island or some “over there” place, are way closer than people think. Im gonna drive like this is whack-a-mole.

So the cops had a video of his car driving over the grass and a light pole that was down on the grass at the end of the parking lot. I'm sad that the cops did not bother to check that pond and took the word of the apartment worker that the pond was only four feet deep despite what the factual evidence was showing them there was likely an accident. Thank you for having the wisdom to get your drone out to check the pond and bring him home.

So nobody noticed that the light pole that belonged to the apartment complex in front of the lake is on the ground? 33:56 Absolutely insane. An entire week of the family with no closure, and not one missing person had to be put up because they have known that day had that police department had cared enough.
@deannashuemake253212 күн бұрын
I saw that! I was like hello this should be a sign. It was dark and late and that complex looks like it's one you can get turned around in bc it all looks the same he probably thought he made the right turn out of there and just took off.
@mernh12 күн бұрын
I noticed that too but reviewing the footage shows it's up @ 3:51 . Looking carefully at the ring doorbell footage I concluded that Adam was exactly at the spot when they first arrived. The spot matches the doorbell footage. In the footage you can see the unfortunate man go by the lamp post by a few inch or so, not hitting it. If he had hit it he might have come to a stop, saving his life! When adam uses the sonar bobber, the car is a bit to the left in front of them and they drag the bobber right over the car, hood to trunk. EDIT: Checking the aerial footage at 33:09 it seems the lamp post was knocked over between the first visit and the moment they actually find him. It is still working while on its side, that is not unheard of. That it is knocked over after the accident is a bit strange honestly.
